Honestly guys does a stock gsr 400 pipe sounds nice? as compared to a spec 1 with deep bassy end can. u know i;m comparing pros and cons.. really wanna get a gsr 400. But haiz.. so ex!.. COz if i get spec 1 i gt spare cash to mod the pipes. but if i get gsr most prob i will ride a stock bike. So comparing a mod spec 1 pipe or a stock gsr pipe whiich will sound nicer? or How big is the difference?

Nice or not is subjective to each person. Some say the loud deafening sound of Harleys are nice, some say the high pitch screams of a KR is nice. Best is to hear and judge for yourself. To each his own.

My personal say? I'm ok with how the stock exhaust sounds like. Its definitely not as bassy as a stock S4. To quote my colleague who rides an S4, he says the stock exhaust of a GSR sounds 'ashmatic'.

Eventually i did upgrade to a LeoVince pipe.

Now dun get started on which pipe sounds better, LV or Yoshi.

Ultimately, its your ride.

u like the sound, u buy the pipe, you enjoy your ride, you feel SHIOK!

You can compare till the cows come home to which bike is better, be it in performance, parts availability, sound, accessories, etc, etc.

But the end of the day, its your money.

Buy what u like, and u wont regret it.

Hi all,

sorry for this same question again. I just bought a 2nd hand GSR and had been searching this thread but to no avail. I even tried using the search this thread function but still to no avail. As such, pls don't flame me. It may just be my workplace's server blocking some pages from being displayed.

My question is, for 1 full tank of petrol for the GSR 400, what is the average mileage you can get before hitting reserve?

Hopefully those experienced GSR riders could advise.... thank you in advance...

Yeah dude. Still loving my x1r. Juz extended my 2A after a stupid incident a year ago dat caused me being unable to take TP for a year! And I was nearing completion of 2A! Lesson learnt n nw waiting for TP. I was interested in a GSR400 too but dunno man...

Impromptu Ride up to Ayer Hitam.

Meet up location : Jurong Bird Park Carpark

Time to meet: 8am

Date: 22 May 2011

Additional Info:

1.Will be travelling at 120km/h - 140km/h depending on traffic and size of group

2.If u don't see us at Jurong Bird Park Carpark and its already 8.30am. That means we already went in to change Malaysian Ringgit at Gelang Patah followed by petrol top up at ESSO.

3.Please bring your cash card with at least $4 in it as we will be entering from 2nd Link.

4.Please bring your touch and go card (Malaysian cash card) if u have it... Else just prepare about $4 ringgit for the toll booths.

5.Note that this will be a no nonsense run..... Have your breakfast first if u think u need it... Go to the toilet first if u think u cannot tahan...

6.Expected time to reach Ayer Hitam is 10.30am - 11am. We will shoot back to Singapore as soon as we stock up on keropok or some angry bird toys and etc. FAST GAME...

7. Will be back in Singapore about 12.30pm. Those that wanna enter from Woodlands we can arrange there but will be on your own if no one else wanna follow.

8. If u are not well... Or u do not have enuff sleep... Use your own brain and weigh it out if u wanna follow or not.

9. At all times u are responsible for your own bike. Ensure your bike is in good condition before deciding on this impromptu trip. Make sure petrol is fully topped up. Don't come to us and say u dun have enuff petrol because u only like Singapore petrol. We will puncture both your tyres and leave u by the side of the road... :thumb:
