How much is starter carbon, my bike also has problem starting, but today totally cannot start, end up must tow, i just had a bke wash but after washing i straight away park my bike, dunnno did any water sip through to the engine haha

water is usually not our enemy. Unless u use high pressure spray and purposely aim inside the engine area.

Assuming you did not try push start, try that first. call a friend to be with you in case u run zero on energy. (if you don't know what's push start, go youtube)

Starter carbon varies with model and make of bike. Usually below $200, small bikes (200 and below) usually below $100.

I pushed start my fazer for a week when i OT everyday for a week and reliable workshops were closed. Its possible.

Yoshi and Leo Vince for GSR400, is still available??

How much is the price selling at??

Wats the differnce like in performance type????

Brought my Yoshi pipe at $1150 from Unique.

There is no or little performance gain as all LTA-approved pipe for GSR400 are slip-ons..

is it normal to have a ticking sound when engine running when cold?

yes, i believe all bikes will have the ticking sound due to the expansion/contraction of the bike parts.

If water can sip thru the cracks means dangerous already. need to change your plug cables. If it is time to change plugs, y not. Juz do it. The plugs are not that expensive. Can DIY. Simple stuff to do.

my spark plug was changed not too long ago

You need to do maintenance check to see if the components are working perfectly. Some maintenance check will be to see if there are defects with the wires or cables. In this case, it could be the spark plug cables are not fully inserted thus causes water to come in, or even not tightened properly. Its good to know the bike inside out. This will also ensure that you will not get cheated by cunning repair shops. Not necessarily muz know the bike like an expert hor.

hi i've just recently took over a gsr 400 from a friend, will put up pics soon but i just wanted to ask is it normal when riding normal speeds (eg.70) and when at a high gear say gear 5, when i clutch in the engine dies or the timing gets really low?

Secondly is it normal for the engine to be a lil "heavy" moving off from first to 2nd gear? as in when i "open throttle" it's not "smooth"?

and lastly where can i service the monoshock absorbers? it feels really bad even on slightly uneven roads i can feel the bump.

(sorry for these "dumb" questions, last i rode was 2006 and that was an RXZ, and now 5 years down the road only after about 2 months of riding the GSR do i create an acct here to ask questions.

Those symptoms are not normal at all. Do the necessary basic change. Change the spark plugs and engine oil first and see if that solves the issue. It could also be the idling is not adjusted to the manufacturer's setting of 1.1k to 1.3k rpm.

As for servicing shocks, you should go to reputable big shops. They ought to be able to do them. Beware, they might poison you with aftermarket parts.

nobody reply me about price of refilling starter carbon

Seriously i never heard that u could refill the carbon... Freaking printer toner ah just refill??? @_@

Perhaps u should do some basic checks first like:

- is your battery working well...

- check your grounding

- check your plugs and cables

If non of those works and u suspect its the starter... Then replace it...

Happen to my new bike twice just when I did servicing, idling speed drop below 1k. Clutch in engine stalled. Change your idle 1st before plugs. Try for a few days.
