Hey Guys am just new here and i really need some help

i have a GSR 400 model 2007 and i lve so much

the big problem that i need to get a new { right crank engine cover } thats the name i been told

i really needed badly so if anyone can tell me from were can i order it online or how can i get it i will really appreciate it

haha, my voltmeter is back in normal working condition, suspect the ground like kenna water, ahha, anyway, u guys idling that time voltage will drop to like 13.2? den when ride off go back 13.7 13.8

 

That totally depends on where you place/tap your voltmeter. Its very subjective. If tap to other points of the bike, the voltage would have been used up by the bike's accessories before getting to the voltmeter. I hope you do get what I mean. As for me, for as accurate reading as possible, I placed mine on a relay that is connected to the voltmeter. With the relay, I am always sure that the Voltmeter is off when I turn the engine off.

 

If I can remember correctly, when idiling on my GSR400, I got around 14v to 14.1v. When moving it will be around 14.2v to 14.4v. This is perfectly fine and it tells me that the alternator is working fine. As long as it does not go beyond 14.9v, I am fine. Over that means the battery is being overcharged that might have consequences.

 

Maybe you should do more tests on your voltmeter...the electronic might be faulty.

You can always go to Suzuki Agent, Guan Hoe, or my suggestion to your regular mechanic to get him to order the parts (He can get it cheaper than if you order through agent). If you want that part urgently, maybe you could approach Hodaka Motoworld. I am not sure if the service is still available, Fly by Parts. You can get it more quickly but the cost will be a lot. Anyway no harm trying to ask them.

 

Best to go in order of

 

1. Your Regular Mech.

2. Agent

3. Other alternatives that are available.

i live in egypt and there is nothing for it here so am searching for it on the internet to order it and i asked alot of mechanics but they couldnt get it for me and same for the agent so if u can tell me more

Ohhh sori did not know about your location. I assume that you are in Singapore....My bad. I wonder if the 600cc can be used to fit the 400cc model. I know the website for oem 600cc parts. So far have not seen a webby for 400cc parts. I am sure you have been here

Hey guys,

 

Just wanna share what happened to me earlier....was riding halfway,turned on my hazard light.. And poof! My dashboard gone. The engine was still running, but no meter, the RPM needle was at zero, basically the dashboard was off.

 

Anyway, here's how I troubleshoot. I open my fuse box, located at the right side, under the seat.. And checked every fuse. Turns out that my signal fuse blew (picture above).

 

However, I do not have any fuse left. Thus, I used my high beam fuse which was rated higher at 15A. Everything was back to normal.

 

So, if next time your dashboard blackout, just check the fuse:)

Hi there, relatively GSR maintenance is ok with me as it is quite the same as S4 only that some parts are abit expensive than S4.. But overall its reasonable.. Parts u can get it at KS Motor as they sell OEM parts.. This is what i can say as im also new to this bike..
