Apologies for not going for the GSR outing. Was swamped by tuition. Sorry!

Lexane has tried contacting cross over but i think to no avail. HAHA i am sourcing other fabricator lets hope there is something.

No worries, is Dervin available? I'll contact him again, he's busy or something.

Though if addy is able to tell us where he got his from....then that'll be awesome!

For FP60, I do experience smoothness when using em. Anyway you need to try to know. I will just stick to FP60 as for my case it works well. Ohhh ya FP60 you need to shake the bottle well before use.

Fast idling is also mechanical. You need to adjust it after awhile. Its located near the idling screw. But not accessable like the idling screw.

ya i did try for awhlie i do feel smoothness but do not know if it clean the injector haha. And i wanted to get the bigger bottle from Mustafa but i think they never sell it already.

oh so fast idling screw is near the idling screw hmmm got to refer to the manual where its located thanks!

Hi still looking for the crashbar. Anyone willing to let go? or knows any bike shop that still sells it?

Motoworld have Givi engine guard for gsr 600, can fit on 400 also. price is $260 or 270 can't remember. One stupid thing is, the engine guard will block the oil filter, so when u change oil filter u have to remove one side of the engine guard first.

Hi guys, I just passed my 2a today and bought a gsr immediately from global motors. Would love to join for meet up or outings. Would love to meet fellow riders. Anyway the belly pan looks awesome.

i nvr encounter fast idling before, normal is 1.1 if weather super cold, my idling 0.9 or 0.8 den slowly warm up till 1.1

Class 3 - 29 May 2009

Class 2B -10 May 2010

Class 2A - 30 June 2011

2010-2011 Phantom 150

2011- Now GSR400

I also encounter fast idling at1.5 when warmed up will drop to 1.1. usualy when my bike is cold though. Initially i thought some one medel with the choke or something but GSRs no choke rite...

cannot find in the manual.

This is from the manual about Fast Idling. It can be called auto choke.

FAST IDLE

The fast idle system is automatic type. When the fast idle cam is turned by the secondary throttle valve actuator, the cam pushes the lever on the throttle valve shaft causing the throttle valve to open and raise the engine speed. When the engine has warmed up, depending on the water temperature, ambient temperature and lapsed time, the fast idle is cancelled allowing the engine to resume idle speed.

This is the standard Adjustments for idlings

Fast idle r/min: 1 500 – 2 000 r/min (Cold engine)

Idle r/min: 1 300 ± 100 r/min (Warmed engine)

From time to time, there will be offsets from Fast Idle and Idle Timing. Just adjust these back to manufacturer's specs and you are good to go.

Questions: Do I need fast idling? Yes/No. The fast idling helps in starting the bike and get it up to optimum temperature. So that the engine won't die in cold temperatures. To me I do not think there will be any side effect if there are no fast idle. Only that at times, your bike will have difficulty to start and requires 2 or more cranking of the electric start. I would prefer 1 time start for peace of mind.

Dears seniors, I have a few questions and hope anyone will answer as I'm planning to get a GSR400, so here goes :)

Does the year of manufacture affects a lot?

Does this bike vibrate very heavily above 100km/h? :/

And how are the average fuel consumption like? 19km/L - 21km/L??

Just got my 2A a few months back and I think its time for me to upgrade, saw S4 but when I saw the GSR400 I fell in love in the big looking tank and all hahaha

So I hope I won't make a wrong choice over S4 because people say S4 have higher resale value in future and its faster than GSR400?

Thank you!

Let me try to answer your questions.

For year of manufacturing, not much as most of the specs are the same. Only that the 2010 models have slightly more bhp. I am not sure if can get them here in Singapore.

Comparing S4 and GSR, yes it does vibrate a bit more than the S4 at that speed. Which can be countered by balancers. The vibrations can't be killed, at least minimized.

FC is similar to S4 actually. I have gotten before 23+km/h or even more. It depends on your riding style. The faster you go the more it will sip.

As for resale value, I do not have difficulty in selling off mine previously. The bike was 3 years old at that time and I managed to get 10k for it. Actually I believe it has the same resale value as S4.

Anyway do get the ride you like. At the end of the day, its not them who will ride it but you yourself. Whatever you choice is, it will not be the wrong one.

Thanks for your reply, i have decided getting a GSR. Looked back to some old thread on GSR vs S4..

Is $8800 expensive for a FBB plate GSR exuding my insurance and all the etc.. ? Havent got the chance to look at the mileage but it comes with a top box..
