And to add, nowadays there are no fuel reserver tank on bikes. Its only how big your tank can carry. And please do not empty your fuel tank often (meaning till no more fuel until the bike cannot move anymore). Reason: You might damage the fuel pump in the long run.....It takes money to replace the unit and it is not cheap. hahahah

My practice, 2 blinking icons, go petrol station to pump.

One very most important question. Have you pump the tires up to the manufacturer's pressure recommendation? That could be it, else it might be something major.

Thanks bro.

Yes indeed my front tyre is flat.

Hehe never realise it.

Now ok already.

Guys,I've been experiencing vibrations when my speed is 70-100 but once it

reach above 100km/hr then no more vibrations.

Just bought the bike.

Don't know if it's normal.

One more thing.

Normally If maintain gear 4 or 5,the engine sounds like

it is stress.Is it normal??:(

Explaining here may not be sufficient...Odd noises to you may just be OK for those have ridden the bike. You could approach someone that have ridden the bike before, or go down to gatherings and ask the old birds if the sound is OK.

yeah slight difference...actually it was a slight drop in horsepower as my tuning parameters was going for fuel economy...i dunno y but wit the gsr, for my liking i like to change gears at 7k rpm or more and i'm getting ard 21-22km/l..

with the stock filter, you dun need to redyno whenever you change air filtersjuz make sure you have a clean one to start with...however if you change to an aftermarket air filter frm stock, you mite want to redyno, to extract watever horses that can be unleashed..but dun expect 10hp gains...

It might not be as clean as out of the box but at least its cleaner, its the higher flow of air from the aftermarkets tat we're after, in which the stock doesn't really provide...

Guys, after i change to aftermarket airfilter K&N i feel a drop in FC, i thought was normal, after reading this post, should i do a REDYNO? which shop u all reccomend, and how much is the average price? My past mileage was 22+ NOW is 19+to21. and is it normal for engine to sound like very stressed when we drag low gears to about 7 8 rpm

And also this post http://www.sportbikes.net/forums/fz6/417128-arrow-mid-pipe.html making me tempted to change mid pipe. eh, leovince got legal mid pipe right? anywhere else has legal midpipe for gsr 400 =) thanks..

To put it straight.....There are NO legal aftermarket midpipe. Reason: With stock, the catalyzer is inside which controls the CO level. All race use midpipes (Only stock midpipes are road legal) are straight thru for performance gain. Without the catalyzer, CO level increases as there are no filter to bring down the CO level.

IN your opinion, which is a better way to do it. Which has nice sound and less obvious to the men in white and the inspection centre..

A) removing the catalyzer through bike shop

B) buying leovince mid pipe

Guys,my mechanic told me that the plastic/rubber

connector to my air box is not in there.

That's y I'm experiencing vibrations & sounds like engine stress

at 70-100km/hr especially at gear 4-5.

Is it true?

& where do I buy the parts for the air box?

A) If you remove catalyzer, there is a big cavity in the middle the exhaust system. CO gases will be collected there and most of the time you will experience backfire. Backfires are not cool, its bad for the bike in the long run. Men in white cannot see easily that it has been mod. There maybe lost of performance.

B) It is a straight thru pipe, exhaust gases will flow easily to the end cans. Most optimum design. If Men in white know about GSRs, they will be able to spot how come the midpipe has not 'bulky' shape. There might be backfires once in a while which can be overcome by tuning the air-to-fuel ratio.

Anyway A) or B), I will be able to tell by one sniff of the exhaust air....hahahah

You could ask you mech, how would the plastic/rubber connector causes so much vibrations? Isn't suppose the vibrations come from the engine? You could even ask him, if remove air box, will the problem goes away? It would be good if a senior member can rectify this. Some mech knows nothing about some particular bikes. Before you do these on your own....Do note, you must know what you are doing.

I have been to Seng Kwang before to do my bracket. He also said that he can put a straight pipe inside the catalyser to avoid detection.

Which means your current catalyser will still be there, but it's just that there is an extra pipe inside it to make it straight through. But it is not reversible. Which means if LTA tow your bike back and they found out about this, you have to buy the ori catalyser and put it back.

I think Seng Kwang does it for 320, and you have to leave your bike for 2 days.
