To all GSR riders~

I think I like this culture, I practise this too~

But probably next time u would like to note down where u are at, what plate number or what color is the bike, with a box anot.

Then the rider will be keen to know who was the rider he hi to~

we already know each other now....

Guys how long do u warm up ur bike in the morning?

FYI, dun warm too long coz it will cause alot of carbon and other gasoline bi-products to deposit in the engine. This is due to the fact that the engine is running slighly richer at idle rpm. Once the engine is cranked up, it's recommended to wait till the auto-fast idle drop to idling rpm and just ride off gently to lightly 'load' the engine. This will help to circulate and warm up the oil faster and also clear off deposition in the engine as compare to letting the engine run without load ie: idling.

My two cents...

Take note of plans to Cameron. Use the new route (Simpang Pulai, approx 514km. OR at NS mark 285km) for wider/safer/greater twisties of up to 160kmh corners.

If you take the old route, prepare for at least an hour of 50kmh ride, not to mention leftover landslide and a "train" of cars one a 1 lane dual carriageway.

A Bungalow might be useful for 7~9 bikes. Secure/large/more interaction for the trip at about S$30+ for about 7~10 pax. Carnation Holiday House is the name. Easily booked via internet. Alternatively, numerous condo like apartments are available. But due to many "play-safe" riders we who hug heir bikes to sleep, we did not opt for that.

sikonesis---- welcome back.... how many of you went to penang?

me going cameron highlands soon. any advice?

Motorcycle is most recommended to be inspected before hitting up for a long trip, mainly :-

1. batt (resting voltage)

2. charging voltage

3. coolant

4. EO (especially sump plug!)

5. tires (sometimes manufacturer fault cannot be detected.. sigh.... http://hamsterz2.multiply.com/photos/album/1)

6. chain/sprockets

7. Front+rear axle nuts

8. Major bolts (we had brake caliper nut falling off)
