Dun really think need to make a police report. Nowadays just report to Insurance coy enuff liao. Police report only when serious injury. Anyway a police report also means that BOTH PARTY have to pay fine and kena demerit. I rather not report police and head straight to insurance. Furthurmore both party have a written agreement to settle seperately. The way i see it, the car has a way bigger damage to pay. kheheheheh.. Just that i inflate the damage when the driver came to check. KAHAHAhahahha

n how serious is ur "serious injury"???

from wat i noe, as long as u have a 3-day MC, u CAN make a police report...

but if u only have minor scratches??? go see a doc n ask for at least 3days MC lah... whether u use it or not is another thing... get e MC, make a police report to protect urself first... den at e police post, ask em... whether ll be fine or wat or not... but most of e time, nth ll happen...

n e amount u claim for ur injuries, normally is much more den enough to cover ur next insurance loading fees, thou e claim ll take quite a while to settle...

Part of the group is making a u turn actually. Flareon headed straight since he stays at Yishun. At the same time a red airwave was making a WIDE u turn. So we thought that the car was jus changing lane to leftmost lane. End up he was just making a bit wider turn to clear the U-turn. Flareon was sumwhat tailgating actually. So end up BANG onto the right side of the car. Good thing flareon has the TP sideboxes plus the engine protector. Well those things jus protected his leg as well.

he's turning from e left lane, which is supposed to be going straight... did he signal??? did he look out for traffic coming from behind??? did he check his blind spot??? did he do a safety check???

 

den again, is there a U-Turn sign there at that spot???

if i see it, flareon was going straight, nth wrong wat... that guy turned into his lane...

Just went to AHM motor shop to evaluate the damage. Here is the list of things that need to be repaired.

 

1. Handle Bar

2. Steering Cone

3. Both my Brake Disc

4. Fork (Yes the both of it)

5. Fork Seal and everything that cover the fork

6. Brake Lever for foot

7. Fork Clamp (The clamp just below the Headlight)

 

Total damage is SGD1800 excl GST.

 

Was unable to go see a doctor today becoz all the clinics are open only for half day at 12pm. Police report will need the MC from doctor. Insurance company has been informed of the incident.

 

Thinking of claiming from him since its not my fault for the accident.

icic.. well his accident was almost the same as mine which happened last year march. except i was going about 70km/h.

 

the taxi which i hit was quite bad too. his repairs was about $7000 plus. the cab had to be towed away. couldnt be driven at all.

 

and so was my bike. as the magneto coil cover broke and the engine oil leaked out. of cos, thats not the only thing broken.

 

speaking about magneto coil cover.. i remembered someone was trying to sell off his carbon fibre ones a few pages back? well for mine, its actually the magneto cover for a gsx-r750 K5. it fits into the GSR perfectly.

I dun feel anything wrong when i was riding it. Forks rebound as it should. Just send for press only. If brake disc warp also can press. BUT I DUN FEEL anything wrong when i did hard braking at the other end.

I have no idea also. He say that when he brake at high speed, the brake lever jumps and thus the brake disc is warped slightly. The fork he show me that its been bent in a little. Not that i can see the diff. Fork he say that since it is bent a little, the fork seal and whatever that involved the fork must be changed. In summary is that the whole front part must change excluding only the light and the things mounted on the handle bar.

 

Will have to get reports from our beloved bro witnesses here as a back up. Damges too high than i have no choice but to claim him liao...

But as I've said to Flareon today, one of the options is to wait until Tuesday for a 2nd opinion at Planet or other workshops.

I also feel should not rush into a claim yet.

Yes, the insurance should be notified of the accident. But claims should be done as a last resort due the the agreement made.

IMO, flareon you should have sent your bike to planet. normally he'll se your case. if he thinks that you have a high chance of winning the case, you wont even have to come out a single cent. i've personally witness this. certain shops might need you to pay abit upfront or they'll wait for the case to confirm that you're not in the wrong.

and regarding that u-turn point, it might be an illegal u-turn. i'll drop by the place and look around. if there's no u-turn sign, then you win.

try to get a few more motorshops to access ur bike. c if they give the same number of defects. if u trust that shop, one will do. if not, just get a few more to access.
