alrite an update to my piping hot issue. i have removed the number plate from the forks and pasted a number plate sticker at the area above the headlight. guess what. tremendous improvement dudes! from 89 deg in the day and 87 deg in the night for expressway riding to 81 deg and to a cool 79 deg respectively. 8 deg improvement jus by removing the number plate man! thanks kaozie for asking me that question.

for those with number plates on the forks, quickly remove it! then ur temp will go down. no need to use engine ice lar, cool-aide lar, this is so much better. try it! get maximum airflow to the radiator..

Interesting.

But why do you have 87 deg C in night expressway riding in the first place?

89 on day expressway riding?

Even with a plate under the headlight, that's too high for the riding conditions you are describing.

I'd get the same temperature and higher only on slow traffic-laden roads with lots of traffic lights.

Normal free-flow roads get me 89 or lower.

Day expressway traffic gets me 83-85 deg C.

Night expressway riding gets me 81-82 deg C.

High-speed (averaging 140 km/h) from GP to Malacca gets me around 82-83 deg C.

And yes, I have a number plate under the triple clamp.

But ok la.

If you may have found a suitable solution, that's great.

I guess the diff btw yours and his is that your is most of the time at a 45 degree angle and right under the triple clamp. Hardly any obstruction to wind flow.

Whereas his is installed on the fork protector. Practically blocking and diverting wind flow totally.

Stickers TP dun allow..... I myself dunno where to attach the number plate when inspection comes...

you totally got the words out of my mouth bro. totally no windflow when u mount it on the fork protectors. anyways, come inspection time i'll jus re-attach the license plate again since i kept my license plate.

I went down to HKL to install the Scottoiler today and enquire if they have the speedohealer, but they dun have it... so in the end, I just did the scottoiler with the dual infection module....

Everything costed me:

Scottoiler ($180) + Dual injection head($50) = $230

I am also interested in getting the Tank Bra but they told me no stock at the moment ... anyone has fixed one yet? What is the market price for the tank bra and installation?

Cheers,

Cyrix

hey bro, didnt know u oredi installed the scottoiler. how long they take to install it ah?

also have you gone down to Motoworld to survey the tank bra stock?

Yes, I have installed the scottoiler with the double head attachment. I did not paste the scottoiler sticker on my bike becos I scare people know my bike got scottoiler ... then they go ichy finger touch my scottoiler... anyway the sticker not nice at all ... whoever wants the scottoiler stickers ... can ask from me :D .... I got a long one and two small ones...

Scottoiler is a nice investment to have on your bike... so I do recommend you to fix it if you can. It takes roughly 30 mins (never really time the guy who fixed it)... I got mine at HKL.

As for the tankbra.... I have not gone down yet becos this month my M juice no more... thanks to the stupid cooking stove I replaced at home... maybe next month I'll be getting windshield first as my next target(as I am planning to go touring soon).... tank bra will be my secondary target...

I love Motofreak's windshield(was it motorfreak's one?).... the Givi brand... I dun like the "puke" .... it looked so flimsy... haven't have the chance to physically look at the Ermax, but from the look of it, Givi has already got my heart.

Anyway, IceCoolT bro .... if you want to head down motorworld for a look, you can let me know and maybe I can go with you...

By the way, you dun have to go down to motorworld(Tel: 6844 0792, 6844 0794 ) to check for the stock... you can call them and ask them if they have the stock before heading down.

Ok bros... have a nice weekend ...!

Cheers,

Cyrix

The GIVI(Silver Bike)or the PUIG(Sexy Red Bike) screen. U should have asked mah at Regina shop when they all bargaining. Maybe can get an attractive price.

both are nice to have...i mean either..but for me..priority now is to do up for functionality and optimum ( not racing, lol ) peformance...so tings like scottoiler, etc...until i finish run-in then the "racing" itch will come out...keke...

cyrix, be careful man, my first impression of all the bros here, ..they are all super motor freaks and poison masters...barely can control myself and buy helmet that day also..haha...neway, nice to know all you guys in person finally...donoe how many meet-ups still got to endure and "leash" down the "racing" devil in my ride..keke...cant wait to go clear carbon with you all...nice bunch...:D

I did asked for winshield at Regina... but they have only the Puig screen ... but later when I saw it physically(I think it was your bike?) ... pardon me... but I find that it is very flimsy... too soft for a wind shield... I thought windshield should be hard plastic... but Puig windshield is so soft...

Then I saw Ravi's Givi windshield and it really caught my eyes... and when I did my "press press test" (sorry Ravi... I assure you ... no harm done to your shield... Lister also there when I see your wind shield) ... Givi's windshield is really solid. Now, before I go ahead with GIVI... I want to see the Ermax one as well... if Ermax better ... then I get Ermax ...

Hahaha .... didn't know that you got poisoned by them? The GSR bros here are really a great bunch of bros ... I knew it when I first came here to post... so that is why I decided to meet them for the first time yesterday.

You dun have to warn me about being poisoned by them... my baby GSR is the one who poisoned me... she is kinda subconciously asking me to mod her and bring her out for a spin... actually that is what I did one time before I do the hard running in... I sat at home doing nothing and then suddenly a urge came to me and I took my helmet and went riding round and round Bukit Batok just to clock milage... in the end... she poisoned me to get her to do hard run in so that she can run to her potential ... *freaky* right? How a GSR can phycho my mind ... :p

Anyway, I can see that you have the racing instinct(speed demon in you)... When you're done with your running in... maybe we can go for a little spin along NSH :D

Flimsy? Naaah. It served its purpose. At least i din see it flying off at 220+km/h (Still cannot beat REVO. They are just a class of its own). Helps when in tucked in position. I give it a 2 thumbs up still. Hehhehehe
