what everyone is trying to tell you is to adapt to this bike, thats all...

 

learn how this bike respons and make the full use out of it...

 

and if you cant adapt to this machine, you are putting yourself in great danger out on the road...

 

every road and every corners is different, are you going to stop and do your settings before you going to take any corners???

 

Not going to say the taboo phrase "change b**e" since you just did! hahaha I always believe advice given in forum should always taken with a pinch of salt. From what i observed, the replies are" don't waste monies replacing expensive stuff. This advice are given with with ur interest at heart. Like u said different riders different preference. I also have an insensitive ka chng so cannot offer you advice to the settings. We used to have a suspension expert here but he self exiled himself liao. Hope you will be you able to finetune ur ride without spending a bomb.

I apologize to all of you..i noe tat my last reply seems kinda harsh..but as i've said before i'm only trying to find the comfort point of my ride..i've changed my riding position to suit the ergonomics of the bike..

Abt the expensive mods, i dun intend to do it but wud luv to if given the chance..i'm using watever tat is available on the bike rather than spending on aftermarket parts..

No i'm not goin to stop n do setting everytime i want to charge into a corner..guess tat crazy..juz wana find tat spot on setting so i cud take the corners wif confidence...

The latest update is my frok is set between the 3rd n 4th ring n my rear is at 6..feels a whole lot better..got more confidence to charge a corner, but still weary abt it..my rear feels bouncy when it hits a bump at speed, guess hav to meddle wit the damping liao..plus i hav found the best riding position for me to suit to the bike..

Seems like u using almost similar settings to mine liao. Heheheh.. I am guessing u are around 90kg to 110kg range. My front forks preload i had dropped it down to 1 and rear at 6. So far its ok for me. The rear skips occasionally during highspeed corners. Just gotta learn the symptoms or signs from the bike.

Wow good guess bro...yah my weight is in that range...tats y i can't rely on the stock setting...the last time my S4 skip at a corner, i had good scrapping otr like rossi...for ur fork u mean its at the top most ring or the bottom one? Coz u said dropped it to 1...how bout ur dmper setting?

Bottom is 7. Top is 0... Meaning i lowered it all the way "in" to 1. Dun wanna mess with damping yet. Till i find a few days of free time. Dun want to end up riding a bucking horse. Too stiff and its worse. Gotta consider singapore and malaysia roads man.

Adjust the damping to let it bounce but at a suitable one for u... my damping adjusted by friend...... to his liking.... surprisingly... also suit me...

Oh ok...got a lil confused..i found the fork at third ring a bit too stiff for me..corner can feel the front like wan to slide...

Adjust the damping to let it bounce but at a suitable one for u... my damping adjusted by friend...... to his liking.... surprisingly... also suit me...

Damping is something i dun wana do juz yet...like motofreak, trying to find suitable time to do it..

hmm..considering those, but was told it wet weather behaviour is bad..dry road can corner until ur ears scrap the road! But until i wear off these stock rubbers, i dun hav any intention to change yet..

went to the motorshow tat day and stepped into motoworld booth..Guess wat? There is a pipe for GSR400 and is pending approval..Fauzi told me tat the brand is W.R.S or sumthing like tat..handmade in japan..he also said tat sumbody is using it otr oready...price quoted $1390!! y pipe included..
