This price isn't confirmed confirmed yet.... Just what I have calculated. I know that SIP will charge more than quoted when shipping exhausts because they are not regularly shaped.... Lets hope that beedspeed don't try this funny business also....

We shall see later today (I hope)....

thanks Sharpey...will start to plan for the exhaust once i get my scoots back....

need all the help and advise i could get to get back in tune with vesparing again....

Cephelix, the smaller IU has some prototyping gtg on....so i guess it will be another 1-2yrs before it is out....

since you are shifting your spare tyre behind....there seems not to be another concealment if you mount the horns....i would think a glove box or spare tyre would be able to conceal it...just my 0.002cents worth....

for the IU under the seat, i would think it can be done since for big bikes, some of us actually put them under our seats and it still can be read....

gwee > yeah....abit difficult..kos i would not be getting a glove box for the front.....

the bare essentials...

kos i know the more storage space there is, the more junk i'm gonna fit inside...

oh well, i'll get the rack first....

the glove box maybe...

Ali - does your px have a sidebox? cause i think the glovebox is pretty damn useful for storage. i can stick my raincoat+pants, 2T, buncha of tools, street directory and a few pieces of rag inside haha.

anyway i've always thought the IU to be quite stupid. why has it got to be so BIG and bulky. i don't even think it should run on cashcards. i don't know about singapore but in some countries they have like this autopass thing that you can stick to the windscreen of your car which automatically pays for tunnel/expressway fees. with today's technology i don't see why the IU can't be reduced to something like that. ;p

Today's Singapore... yesterday's technology...

they are still proud of their ezlink cards...which besides paying for mrt/bus fares... can allow u to buy from mcdonald's.

haha

I guess the government just envisioned this kinda technology to last a whole lot longer than it actually does. =P

but then again sometimes good old fashioned cash is still the best. don't hafta worry about topping up and you'll always know how much you have. =P

ahahaa....we're riding vespas....we take whichever lane we one and can't care less about anybody else...ahahahahah...

chung... yeah..mine has a sidebox but with the batt n electricals inside, all i manage to fit in are 1L 2T, tools, extra p plate, coupon, street directory...

leaving a space in the middle for helmet bags n the sort...rag i put under my seat....

BTW, TA has a nice pair of single seats, cream with green lining...or issit white with green lining...

going for $25 a pair...

but have to rewrap as the sponge n wrap has been slashed

gwee > in sidebox?can be read?is it attached to the sides???if can then maybe i put above my batt....

IU damn bulky kos their R n D dept wanted to make tons of profits by using yesterdays technology n selling it to the ppl at sky high prices....

not like u have a choice not to buy

the farecard was alot easier i would say......lasts alot longer than the ezlink too..wonder why they changed???

Cephelix, i didnt say sidebox....GLOVEBOX.....

you couldnt careless about anyone else on the road?

you will be when they ram into you or zoom by you at high speed....

i bet your scoots will wobble....and you will feel how vulnerable on the road....

dont comment on the whole for vespa riders..... :nono:

Vespa riders are NOT king of the road...even if we are on big bikes, we should not have such mentality....moreover our scoots are pretty tiny on the road....sticking to the correct lane and riding safe is the way to go....

Hi all,

ask a noob question, is there like an emergency cut off button on 22yrs old++ vespa px150?

my bike was very smooth, one kick start. Till two weeks before, i parked it for an hour and then i cant start it anymore. I changed the spark plug, fuel is 2/3 full...

It feels like trying to kick start the engine without sloting in my bike key... no spark no nothing. A bad day to break down as i went reservice on the next day so it was left there for 2weeks plus. Any idea what might cause it?

Going to have it towed to tongaik this weekend, it will be a joke if the mechanic press a button or fix a nut and the engine starts...haha.

thanks

If you take out the spark plug and hold it (insulate your hands) close to the metal of your engine case and kick over the scoot .... you should see a spark. If there's no spark... try a different plug. If there's still no spark, chances are you won't look silly when you tow it to TA....

like what sharpey say take out the plug, insert the cap to the plug place the plug at any metal part on the engine and try to kick start. if there is spark coming out chances are there is nothing wrong with ur electrical.and some other parts failed. if there is no spark prepare abt 100++ for a coil replacement.
