Zen: You bought a PX200 with disc brake too? How much you paid? What plate isit?

Did Zen paid about $2k for a FM plate? or was it another lady?

Disk skimmed.... erm... you're probably better off just buying a new disk $80 or so... they do wear out...

Hendra mentioned to us that there is a shop selling LML Vespa spares in little india somewhere... likely a cheaper alternative to buying from overseas, and they should have the diskbrake hub in stock... You will have to change your handlebars (or have a master welder alter them)... the new style have the mounting for the hydraullic reservoir on them... which you kind of need....

ouh,forgot about the reservoir.....

dangit.....

also thinking of the 24/24 keihin carb with manifold......

do you think there's a noticeable improvement compared to a 24/24 del orto carb?

Really no point buying a new carb unless you're looking for topend speed... A 24/24 is a 24/24 doesn't matter if one's a kehein... they'll perform about the same AFAIK..

Save up for a pipe :) Much more BANG for your $

but a 24/24 d-slide + manifold....

etwy, not sure really.u could contact the guy.don't even know what needs to be done to fix the carb on.

n sharpey > the exhaust will be the ultimate thing to get.the top of my list. alongside bitubos.if I had the cash i would've gotten your rear shock.

yeah, and the newer discbrakes are fully hydraulic...

not like the older grimeca kits

little india eh???...

well, maybe maybe..is there an exact address?

you could try TA...not too sure how much they charge after the GST increase.

last I checked it was 40 or 45 per tyre

ceph>> i tot i discussed it once wif ya...it's S H I T T Y! you recommended intermittent braking which is helping...but still i think needs to get the brake pads checked in such...also when i hard brake the front brakes or go over on humps my fron suspensions squeaks....scary bawlsss

ouh....yeah yeah,change brake pads...costed me $20 before..

sorry ya...time now moves in a seamless blur for me.I can't even remember when I last went out with friends.ahahaha

Erm... I still have the bitubo... not in a rush to sell...

If you want to do 2up riding (my wife and I are rather heavy)... you need to ensure that the preload is cranked up really high... thus increasing the spring tension.. According to Andrew Morrice (Bitubo Importer & Servicer) mine was set too soft for twoup riding and over time the constant bottoming out caused it to fail... Doh! He's reset it now... should be peachy :)

As for the keihein... yeah maybe you'd get better throttle response and easier tuning (given that its more modern)... but yeah, you'd need to have a manifold made to mount it to the engine (not cheap to buy).... If you're interested in a new carb I'd also consider going reedvalve on a full-cirle crank.... that'd be the shizzle on your premix setup... I'm not interested as I'm a lazy bum who wants to keep my autolube...
