i already have the ancilotti seat.....

but i'm torn between a retro/classy looking one with killer speed and one that looks like a total racer

Jonah... depends which shocks you have... the old old ones were rebuildable... the new ones aren't

 

A new stock front shock should be in the region of $40-50... (PX 2 leg fork)... not sure for the older 3leg type though...

True that the "mod" theme will have more of a market....

 

What's the rush... you could build it over 5 years or something... evolving it slowly.... as and when funds allow.... That's what I'm doing

 

 

Erm Jonah... yeah... its not a complex job... just unbolt old and bolton new... 30min job max. Beware though that the $40 Indian front shock they sell is super heavy duty and really too firm... go with an original piaggio one.. (or if you have a bit extra cash buy the $80 front shock from the diskbrake vespa... the best stock front shock ever for the px)...

sharpey > in the event that I move abroad.....then I would have to sell my current scoot.....gotta cut out the rear end, and add a new sidebox...probably a rounded,smaller one.....put in new tail and signal lights...ones from a cub. but first and foremost must up my engine.

I was at BH today, saw the $48 rear shock, uncle said the same thing. For race use but not stiff. Hmmm.......I guess it could be trial and tested for anyone in need to swop for a rear shock.

my exclusive 2 project took a turn. It will not go to the sin ming paint shop but instead, it will showcase the painter in Hendra's place. Price quoted $400 for a 1 colour. It will be in Red.

 

Hendra will re-wire the fellow, give it a top over haul, check on the brakes and maybe change the clutch.

 

It will be on sale once it's done up. I'm still more keen to do a PX with disc brake & auto lube.
