Hihi, im looking to get a vespa 2nd hand.. either px150 or gt200. can someone tell me where i can look for them.. (and uhh where is d place ah)

e only place i know of that has sth to do with vespa is tiong aik hmmm but they dont have installment one leh looking for installment one = / not so much cash on hand. haha.

is it wise to get an old old one den mod? or.. shud i get sth more done up already and spray.

another thing! can vespas put speaker? :D lets say d px150.. can not ah. if im not wrong gt200 can right.. cuz i see before ppl got :> thanks for d help :)

Hi, lyao to ans your question

1)where to look for vespa on installment

Jin Cheng Motors sells vespas on installment. It's located in Ubi, along the same stretch as ASPhoon. Or you could try Hendra,it's right beside Singapore Post.

2)whether to get old one and mod?

That's up to personal preference. Most of us would rather get an old,not so nice looking one kos it's cheaper. The most important thing is that the engine is in good working condition.

3)can speakers be put on a vespa

yes they can.but few have done it as in my opinion,it spoils the scoot's outlook.but again,it's personal preference.

4)12v vs 6v

the 12v ones are more likely to be px,T5,excel and the 6v ones are supers & sprints.

supers & sprints are in higher demand here so they fetch a higher selling price than ps,excels etc.there are pros and cons of each.

take your time to go through this thread and AJ's thread and of course the wikipedia that was set up by Sharpey.

You learn something new every day :) Now I know what the "clip" is :)

A new fuel tap won't cost you much....

Cep> to convert the PX rear to a "Vintage rear" It's gonna cost you $240 on the bodyworks. The Side cowls and front fender will set you back another $200 (new). Take note that the front fender MUST modify to suit the PX front fork and disc brake system. I urge you to seal up the front signals too. Than you'll be left with the Nose job & handlebar WHICH in order to maintain the disc braking you can't change due to the brake reservoir.

(01) Bodywork to convert PX to a Vintage look $270 (This includes the front signal seal job)

(02) Front fender & Side cowls $200 (Includes the front fender n

modification and lock for side box)

(03) Paint work $300 / whole bike $400 (I'd rather do whole bike)

Good going there with the priceguide ewty...

by the way... you can get a set of sprint bars with a master cylinder attachment...

http://www.sip-scootershop.com/pages/index.php?ID=22372&EXPLODIM=px&_requested_page=%2Fpages%2Fdetails.php

no idea how it would look though...

Alternatively you can get a set of sprint bars modified overseas to accept a master cylinder... it'll cost you though...
