lyao... not a big deal.... if you really want, just buy another and sell yours... not like there isn't a market for Vespas :)

Zen./.. FYI I got about 4.0- 4.2litres/100km when my PX200 was stock...thats 23.8 - 25km/litre... not bad.... these days I use about 4.8litres/100km or 20.8km/litre... not so hot, but then my scoot is not so stock anymore....

Hi Sharpey! I'm taking a photography course right now and I decided to shoot Vespas & owners as a photo project. I've always loved the way the Vespa looks though I don't know much about it. :p I don't need bikes that are ultra shiny and pretty. An interesting angle or good lighting will help.

Ahqi: I've not decided what equipment to use. I favour portability and use of natural lighting, so it can be anything from P&S to SLR to Holga. After all, it's a well-known saying that it's the photographer that counts, not the camera! :p

I see in your profile that you like to shoot your bike. What do you shoot with and do you have any photos to share?

Oh yah, I'm not a dude but a dudette. Thank you gals & guys for giving me the opportunity to admire your bikes and take some photos!

hmm.. but noon time dun really have soft light for u to shoot.. Too much harsh light that will only give you sharp details. And the location also not very gd Lol. Imagine a row of vespa juz outside a coffeeshop, doesn really tells much.

If you really wana take photos of vespa, you should bring it to somewhere quiet or relax to get the real meaning out of it coz i feel that vespa is somekind of relaxation. :thumb:

your project can use photo manipulation? if can u can juz take the photo and edit urself later . If nd to be real den change location and timing lor.

my 2 cents worth :cheeky:

don't ride too fast (esp around bends) and you should be fine. been riding around on my ride (fitted with 8 inch wheels) for the past one year and have been conditioned to always go real slow round bends cos i have to admit, it really isn't all that stable

ok noted.. is 8inch wheel the standard size?

think i got to practice ard my area first before going any further... thks guys... :cheeky:

hope to meet u all real soon...

no, 10 inch wheels are standard for most vespa models, not 8 inch ones. but i needed to get my scoot fitted with 8 inch ones cos i'm short and can't quite manage the height of a scoot fitted with 10 inch wheels.

oh well, do be careful on the scoot if you ain't too familiar with it yet! practicing round your area before attempting to go further distances is always a good idea :thumb:

how convenient. casuarina curry is right smack in the middle of lower and upper pierce reservior. you guys can have the luxury of choice between 2 scenic spots for phototaking.

Ahqi, thanks for your 2 cents. I agree with you coz I'm also concerned about lighting & background. If there's shade or we can go elsewhere after lunch at Casurina, that will be great. I like the idea of a relaxing place. If the setting is retro or brightly coloured, that will be even better! :thumb: I keep thinking of Little India, but I suppose that can be arranged for another day, but I have to start shooting this weekend.

We're not allowed to do much photoshopping. Just basic levels and colour adjustment should be fine though.

I only take public transportation so hopefully we can meet somewhere convenient. Else have to ask my chauffeur (dad) to come along!

Hougang also reasonably near by....

Do try and come along if you can....

im shy.. whaha... kidding la..

i will go down if i can...
