Hey! Thanks A lot! real easy to find the carb with the pic. I've tightened the screw already. clockwise right? The vespa seems more powerful now, is it just me? And what will happen if i over tighten it?

Realise another problem. When i insert my cashcard into the IU, it states there error. The IU looks new and i just topped up my cashcard at the library. But the cashcard is is a couple of years old though. What could be the reason?

And what helmets are the rest of you guys wearing? gonna get one soon, now wearing the previous owner's.

I have that rack zen....

$100 including installation at TA.....

at the scrapyard you have to take your chances really

Ya zen, I second Cep. IF you can find one in the scrapyard, most likely it's badly tarnished or damaged. Try your luck at TA, they might and do have used racks in good condition.

nothing will happen if u overtighten it, iit juz 'eat' more petrol due to your high idling.

maybe the process of inserting the cashcard is wrong. if it is really faulty do make a check wif previous owner whether the IU is still in warrenty. The IU has a warrenty of 5 yrs . If spoil, and not under warrenty you need to get it replace at any LTA at a cost of 150buck + -.

Juz get any helmets u tink worthy for your head. My advise is half cap helmets ain't really safe for ur head. But its your preference rite

Lastly, Enjoy ur Riding

Weable... you shouldn't be tightening that screw willy nilly... just enough so that you engine doesn't stall when hot... its normal for it to stall when cold... make sure you are adjusting the one that pokes out of the top of the carb box and not the one that pokes out of the back....

Adjusting it will not make your scoot more powerful... promise. Over tightening it will make your scoot idle crazy fast and waste petrol and make it hard to get into first gear.... So yeah... just like a 1/4 turn clockwise should be enough.

Get the IU checked by an inspection centre...eg STA or VICOM or such... free test to see if it is working...

Buy the best helmet you can afford...

My Nolan N102 cost $330 and is actually not very expensive when compared to $800 Arai and Shoei lids...

I used to wear a Momo ($350) which looked pretty bling... just got fed up of worrying what would happen to my chisled good looks ( ) in an accident.

You can buy a decent open face helmet for $100 or so... but spending extra eg $300 WILL get you a better fit and thus ultimately better protection in the event of a fall. Budget for it....

if u hav another biker fren or fren, father, sis, bro etc etc wit car, van, bus, taxi etc etc...use their iu to check ur cashcard first....then borrow from them their cashcard to test on your iu....try this n c wats the result :thumb:

haha.. erm.. erm.. realised what's wrong, i inserted the cashcard the wrong way in. :cheeky:

Yup, didn't dare to tighten too much. just about 1/4 clockwise. The more powerful bit must be my imagination. :giddy:

Ya, i also think that half caps are not safe. But i do not have 300 over to spend on a helmet. What are the rest of you guys using?

I read somewhere that helemts that meet the DOT standard are quite good but the thing is only full face helmets meet their standards. Is it true?

60-100 bucks should get you a decent enough MHR helmet or such... just be aware that there is no such thing as "cheap and good" in this world... A decent helmet is something worth saving for...

Saw Kenny's scoot just now... pretty cool... they seem to be doing a decent job for the money he's paying...

I'm keen to get my body media blasted (plastic pellets instead of sand used in sandblasting which will warp the metal) and found the site below...

http://www.bnp.com.sg/pages/contact.htm

Check it out... looks like JUST the kind of shop we need... willing to do small jobs as well as large... eg you could just send your wheels there etc... Just hope they aren't too pricey...

sharpey > thanx for the info.....

thinking of getting my scoot media blasted when the time comes for it to have a new coat of paint.

qn,is there a difference between forks of a px that has drum brakes and one that has disc brakes or is it just in the hub?

and why are the blasting services located so far away?

-= Unsure of what to get=-
