Thanks for the reply but, I looked carefully at the red logbook the uncle showed me in the bike shop, this is what it states clearly on the make: Vespa Sprint P150X . Now what I need to know is whether I should follow the logbook as a reference of anything else? The back looked rounded with signal lights (obviously modded) embedded into the behind cowling. Is this considered a PX? What do I look out for. As I metioned earlier, it's an AV plate made sometime in 1979. Hence, I am still wondering is it a true vintage model?

Thx for the replies in advance

hi,

mine also near end of the 'A' plate and in the log book also written Sprint P150X. can vaguely recall somebody said in this forum or another that it is a mistake by the old LTA or ROV. by the way can describe the shape of the vespa?

Posted

mistake being a PX or a true sprint? The shape on the behind is rounded and with a round light in the front but not the superman handlebar kind.

thanks

I did, in fact a search on google seems to yielded the exact model with pictures but I am still a little perplexed as to really what model this is a PX or a sprint of maybe it's a hybrid?!

Where do you guys park ur vespa in orchard area? Is parking in town area expensive? i haven't been to town on my vespa yet. haha.

i usually park at Mt Elizabeth hospital if i'm going over to taka area.. it's free..

if i'm going to PS area..i'll park at PS, free too.

If i'm going to forum area..i'll park at forum..free.

If i'm going to cineleisure/centrept area, i will park at centrepoint..and yes, it's free.

So far it's wonderful experience at the carparks, no unwanted attention from the wrong ppl..haha

Thanks for the advice, i think i'll pass on this one, does not seem to be sprint but rather a first generation px, and the thing is, it even could be made in indonesia as referenced to the above link.........

most carparks that are free for bikes have generous clearance between the gantry and the wall. if they do want you to pay, they will usually put a full barrier with minimal clearance (or poles to stop your advance), finally, they usually will either indicate the price for bike parking (coupled with a signage that says 'bike keep right') or state 'no bike parking'.

If you go enough carparks, you will know the trend.

Whether there are designated parking lots is up to management decision.
