lyao....i suggest you ride your scoot ard for a few mnths before deciding to change anything....

most probably she's asking you to change to a 3-legged fork..has a more vintage look.....then gonna have to change the handlebar, etc etc......

hiiii guys.. i just collected my scoot a couple of days ago. been trying around and getting used to it.. hmm i just went down to ta to ask about paint works and mods.. here are the prices quoted: 2 tone paint + removing old pain 450. metal rack 100. 1 set of round box and engine cover 200. new seat 100++. i was told if i wanna make nice i need to change fork 230.. hmm. + all d misc. she was i might spend up till around 1.4--1.5k :~~~~( cryyy . issit ex? or are those prices somewhat around there one..

oh. the front breaking is almost non existent. is it like that one? i think my bicycle the braking more power. the back brakes are okok.. but i still cant judge as im a noob vespa rider.. any kind souls would like to test bike? hehehhe 97608583 and hor.. sometimes hard to start de bike leh. kick 3-4 time aso cannot

what do u all do ah.. tilt the bike?

 

welcome to the vespa family lyao difficulties in startin up your bike huh? as cephelix mentioned, tilt your bike to the right for a good 10 secs or so before kickstarting. either that or pull your choke. never pull your choke and tilt your bike at the same time though..you have to make your choice between either option. and of cos, giving good, powerful kicks make a world of a difference in getting your engine fired up as well..

 

as for your front brakes..it is best to get it checked if you feel the breaking power is almost non existent. should your rear brakes malfunction/brake cable snap, you will need to use your front brakes. anyhow, as of now before you get your brakes checked, just play safe by riding around slowly and by keeping a longer following distance yea..

it depends on where is cheaper and good (the shop to go..). atleast tts wht i am doin.. right ali?? for ur mods, get those tt ur gonna paint on first. like forks and etc can wait..

lyao - not every vespa comes with a choke..so yeah..you might not even have a choke to pull

no wor.. big big holes.. at the tank area.. got 2 holes near the rear where the clip for the seat is.. and at the leg rest area near the "reserve tank the lever.. below got 2 holes also.. haha so ugly : P kk i post some pics wait ah

Don't rush to spend spend spend... esp where the forks are concerned... Its true that they "look better" but they generally suck in all other aspects... get your front brake sorted (can probably work better than it is now)...

 

Sebac Front (Exposed black spring) is a better shock than the Escort... Escort has a grey plastic cover over the spring. Better in that it is smoother and more progressive... the Escort is a stiff bugger... Sebac may well cost more though...

 

Rear... just buy a new shock body and use your old spring... saves money... Mdm Soh will sell just the shock body without the spring for 30-40 or so...
