Yeah... throttle cable snapped ahqi.... open up your carb box and see if its still connected in there... if it is, then it will have snapped at the handlebar end... Take comfort in the knowledge that they don't snap very often....

sharpey i itnk it snap at the handlebar side.. coz the throttle is like disconnected but when i start the bike its high reving.. ok i got the message. so is there a way to resolve the problem on my own or muz get bike shop to do?

Oh.. hangon... if it is reving up when you start then perhaps the throttle is stuck...

 

Open your carb box and move the throttle slide manually... see if that helps...

Ignore the red arrow in the picture, its the silver hook that connects to the throttle cable that you want to look at(yours may look a little different) It is spring loaded and thus should spring back when you let go of it......

hey can i ask something, my scoot throttle spoil cannot throttle ... something break? coz it's like disconnected. can fix back ownself? was riding juz now and den suddenly the throttle like snap.. and cannot control so i had to leave my scoot halfway..

 

N this got to happen at the end of my bdae.. wat a surprise gift..

 

From ur story it seems tt ur cable snapped...anyway just check the carb according to what sharpey describe.....Its a practice to carry 1 spare clutch cable and 1 spare throttle cable...U may not noe how to fix it but maybe someone who noes might just drop by:angel: ...So wheres ur scoot????

erm.. i park it at my friends hse.. coz its quite a distance from my hse to her hse so i left it there. coz i was riding halfway den the throttle suddenly came lose/ felt like disconnected and it started to high rev. so i immediately clutch in to disconnect the power den stop the bike at the side and push it to my friend's hse which is nearby.

 

i didn start the scoot again coz its the middle of the night. but i was trying to see whats the problem back then, by twisting the throttle it felt loosen so i presume that something snap, might be the cable or the throttle is disconnected.

so i wanted to noe the problem.. see whether i can fix it or muz call to tow back..

i'm pretty sure that if you were to organise a meet-up those foreseeable "problems" u mentioned would somehow no longer be quite so problematic
