how much will it cause to maintain the bike's engine .. to a good running one..? how much does it cause for the paint work of a vespa?

changing of tyres.. etc etc.. could any kind souls out there.. give me informations about vespa.. from the condition .. to the paintwork.. and all..? please? cause im really blur at all this.. thank you. .ur information is greatly appreciated=)

aim > there's alot of variables when maintaining a vespa...

to maintain an engine would depend on how good the condition of is in the first place......but generally, to overhaul an engine would cost $800 ish...

paint depends on quality....it ranges from $200 to $500 ish....

wiring would cost ard $200,

tyres cost $45 each......

go to the wiki spaces on vespas written by sharpey....

 

one good way is to always read up on the product before buying....

trawl the net for information on vespas.....

drop by the shops like Tong Aik, Cik Ali, Ah Joo, Roda Dua, Hendra and ask around for more info...this also has the added advantage of being able to familiarise yourself with the mechanics...A mechanic that you can trust is a very hard thing to find...

It's not hard. There really isn't much to do to maintain the engine.

In the first place, buy a Vespa with a good engine. Ask the mechanic.

A good running engine would be one that is stock and new of course. A better one would

be one that's kitted . Things wear out and so do engine parts. So the price

varies depending on the parts that are to be repaired or replaced. Maintenance is cheap.

I clean my carb and change my gear oil and spark plug (~$20) once every 3 months.

Decarbonize my piston (~$10) twice a year. There are a few other things like

changing the clutch cable, brake shoes, etc. It really

isn't that expensive as compared to other class 2B bikes

out there. My paintjob cost $350. 2K paint, 2 colours, done at Tong Aik.

Decide which model of Vespa you want too. PX150, PX200, Excel, Sprint, etc.

An old vespa? It depends. An A plate Vespa can be a Sprint, Super, PX150, etc. For models before the PX, there may be more things to change.

Generally, a complete engine overhaul will cost $400 to $1000? You should go

to a Vespa shop, choose a Vespa, fall in love with it, swear to yourself

you're gonna buy that Vespa, and then ask the mechanic. That way, you

will get the most accurate quote.

i got myself a PX150.. actually it belongs to my lated bro.. parked at my house carpark for 2yrs till i got the bike... luckily still in gd condition else... *heng*

 

oh ya, my horn is like not workin... is it suppose to be that way...??? its like no batt....
