i like the plate, and the seat and the colour...

but i kinda dislike the fork for it's inability to handle front braking..

nice scoot hanzer..

ahqi.....2% 2T per litre of petrol...like what they say, no more than 3% n no less than 2%.just be sure of how much 2T u put in....

what's the fork?

is it to add 2T everytime we pump petrol?

Posted

yeah ahqi.... its just that you said you were adding extra 2T for the runin... technically you don't need to do this...

Putting in more 2T into the mixture means that for a given ammount of fuel there is less petrol in the mix (because you've replaced it with oil)... less fuel % = hotter engine = potential seizure etc etc....

Some people like to use cheap mineral 2T for the run-in.... that as some logic to it in that its consitancy helps the piston rings to bed in... I didn't bother... up to you...

Hey Hanzer.... nice pink there :)

Yes add 2t (2%) every time you pump petrol.

Your fork is the 3 legged thing at the front that the front wheel is attached to... The 3leg looks classic, but doesn't perform well under braking... so be careful out there....

okei, thanks sharpey fer ur explanation. =)

i 2nd that to sharpey. hanzer if u going to apply brake best is to use rear brake.. its not very advisable to apply front brake.

Sharpey i guess whazzup is refering to the rubber layer on the floorboard.

oh ya.. the front braking is quite bad.. its not in working condition or maybe its made to be that way.. i hardly use the front brake as well as the rear brake.. :dot:

Aha... well $70 does seem like a lot of money.... does that include the strips and the rubber? If its a total cost then maybe it isn't so bad... the lining up and riveting is quite a pain to do....

Nice nice. :thumb: Lovely soft pink. Be sure to wash your Vespa often. Yours look very vulnerable. Easy to get dirty. Especially those white stuffs at your floorboard. It's a PX150?

Yeah... maybe get a 2nd quote from somewhere... just so you're sure... When I did mine, I did it myself... so it was free...

I'm in the UK at the moment.... and have just realised that one of the UK's scooter tuners happens to have his business in my town! Small world indeed! Shall go and have a chat with him one day. :)

How's your Sprint? All nice and shiny?
