Btw if i go shop and service my coolant, they will use 1 bottle of maxima coolaide and mix with tap water am i right?

So when i tell them not to add water, they will use 2 to 3 bottles of coolaide i suppose?

I think 2 bottles is enough and got spare. U might have to pay extra though. Btw, during flushing right try squeezing your hose for any rusts or debris. That time i squeezed mine the rust was so bad it sounded like someone eating prawn crackers. lol!

The weather system acts like our coolant system. When it gets too hot, the fan switch on and coolant starts to flow through the radiator. lol! Haha

Dear bros...pls help.

I'm riding a Vtec. Recently experienced heat under my seat. Checked and noticed the green water in the coolant container under my seat was boiling and flowing out. Went to get it fixed. The mech said it might be a problem of my radiator cap. I changed the radiator cap, the radiator fan which was spoilt and also did flushing. While riding back home, felt the heat again. Went back to shop. This time, got my head gasket changed and the plastic tube which is just below the radiator cap. While riding back still felt the heat. Went back to shop again. This time changed the thermo stat. Problem still there. left my bike at shop. Not sure whats the problem. ***(When the mech was washing my coolant container, he found a ball bearing stuck inside one of the black tubes. He removed it already. but problem still there)***

How about your hoses? Did your mech check for blocked rusts or debris? Maybe your coolant flow got disrupted that is why the cooling system isn't effective.

I'll remind the mech to check the tubes again.

Bro Rider saje, I called the mech to ask him to check the hoses. He said, its nothing to do with the hoses. He told me that the head-gasket was not fixed properly. Therefore, have to re-open the head and fix it back again. Confused....

What your mech say might be true. Last time, my gaskets got burnt due to overheating resulting in major coolant eruption at the coolant cap area. Somehow or rather, the gaskets play an important part in the cooling system. But, you must also not belittle the rusts and debris that has form up in the hoses over the years. Most of the shops know about this, but they're either lazy or dont wanna tell you about it because they want more business from you. But not all shops are like that.

Alright, bro. I'll confirm ask him to check the hoses. Hopefully this time I get to ride my bike back home again. I left my bike at shop on 13th of Apr. Collected on 13th of May because mech can't get the plastic tube holding the radiator cap. I bought a 2nd hand from HKL. While riding back home on 13th May, got heat again and went back to shop. Left there again. Went to shop on 14th to collect back my bike. But after waiting till late evening, mech told me that have to leave bike behind. Very unlucky!

Hey bros got a question. I got a spec 3 and only just now I realized my radiator is not fitted on straight! I was bending over the handle bar when parking to see that I am in the correct position when I see that my radiator is not facing straight in the wind. It's somehow slanted to the right meaning when viewed from the top the right side of the radiator is more backwards than the left side. I look a quick look and everything seems to be bolted on correct and the frame doesn't seem to be damage. Is that normal to be this position?

Guys if there's water in the air filter means what ar? And water seems to be coming out of a hole in the engine(fins) everytime i tilt it sideways.

Bro, I think this position will make your fan turn on often. Because the hot coolant in the radiator not facing straight resulting in less wind cooling it off when you ride. Maybe you can use brackets to straighten your radiator?

Bro, could it be water seep in when you wash? Engine hole leak water? Is it on the left side? Are you using water to top up your coolant? Btw, what version u riding bro?

I took a second look and realized my radiator is actually out of shape! The two brackets which bolts to the top of radiator is also bent! The radiator itself is warped, one side is bent downwards. However there's no leaks and the engine seems to be ok. Anyone know how much is a replacement radiator? I am not expecting it to be cheap but I just want to know if it's worth it to replace.

Bro, very ex ah. If your radiator still in working condition, I suggest you don't change la. If no choice, why not you find a working 2nd hand one. Cheaper also.

Very ex means at least 4 digits? Haiz really regret not checking properly before I got the bike...

Bro Saje, got back my bike after all those repairs which I stated in my earlier post. I still have the same problem! I feel very hot under my seat! The coolant container under my seat is very hot. I could feel the heat travelling around my thigh area. I went to another shop to check. After checking, the new mech asked me to take a look at the radiator water. I watched as he rammed the bike. The coolant is not being sucked-in! When he stops ramming, the coolant spills out. He said, the head is gone. Could it be the problem? Wonder why the mech who serviced my bike earlier didn't tell me the problem. (Already changed...radiator cap, fan, thermo stat, head gasket and also done flushing)...confused!!!

I've already asked the mech to change a second hand head for my bike. it cost me $600. $400 for others like gaskets and etc. Total is around $1k. Already spent close to $500 for the earlier repairs. I don't think its a problem of the hoses cos, I just changed the whole set of hoses 6 months back.

Bro, no offence ah. A 2nd-hand head will not guarantee that the problems will be solved. Did you checked the head first before purchasing?
