am contemplating to change balancer keke make it longer to compensate for the long mirrors hope this makes it easier to guage gaps b4 i go slapping more car mirrors

have you or your friend rode a norm (nake) S4 before? if so, how different is the handling? and in terms of normal singapore road rriding and high speed riding...

the only time we rode 1 is in the circuit while taking 2a. think handling is the same just that the front's heavier due to the frame to hold the fairing. just that i think the fairing will eventually start to vibrate cos it's half fairing. other than tat, it's the same as other spec 3 as the bike shop told me.

thank you for replying... about the vibrating part... I am in the opinion that the bol dor would be more stable than the nake S4... cos 'half fairing' is better than no fairing... (like frazer) kekeke..

 

for the nake S4 (at least for my spec III), can feel the vibration around 150 but still manageable... once pass 170, the vibration will be a bit too much (IMO) to handle... have you tried push your bol dor already or still in running in stage?

spec III will vibrate so much meh..... I know liao. .try change the balancer.. .will help a lot!!!! from motoworld $30 thicker ones... very stable.....

The bold'or is pretty stable.My fairing doesn't vibrate at 150km so far.All stock.Maybe i tend to have a stronger hold of the handlebar,can't really feel the vibration or notice the fairing vibrates.

KNS... nothing to do with the signal light, it was like that before broke the signal light...

 

got vibrate lah.. maybe you grip so hard that dun feel it... if you relax your hand a bit can feel the vibration around 170...

 

or maybe because you have a lady pillion thats can too high to feel the vibration... *suan back*

 

but you took the question out from my mouth... i also interested to try out the bol dor.. kekeke.. maybe lass can organise a 'test ride' session.. just a short spin will be good...

balancer is and grip is one of the first thing to change when i got my bike (safety first) using that balancer from the start. maybe should change to the $40 ones even longer.. kekeke...

 

not the chiongster type, so never intend to add steering damper...

 

longer balancer not only good for stability, but also good when you fall... can minimise the chance of getting your tank scratched.

i finished running in by 9 days cos we delibrately took the bike for errands and taking a longer route. just tried a bit of a higher speed abt 160 in JB over the wkend, feels v stable no major vibration felt (perhaps i was too thrilled abt the new power) to notice otherwise. my buddy said that her fairing vibration sound is quite loud. she had her bike abt a mth b4 me.

 

planning to change the balancer the ones fr motovation, more ex though but i hv seen it on my friend's bike so i may get that one. hopefully this could compensate a lil bit more for the longer mirrors which at times can b a headache during traffic jam, either i hv to stay in lane or block other bikes trying to squeeze.

fold mirror keke v mahuan, later hv to adjust again. am kinda particular abt my mirror cos i always hv to adjust til i happy....so where got time on the rd?

hmmm..dont feel any vibration leh even at 190km/h..can even ride through a bend at that speed no problem..

recently changed to white light with 4000K rating... only $15 and power!!! but still not as good a philips diamond vision... a bit too steep to pay for a light bulb...
