Hello to all Bol'Dor riders,

 

Don't mind can you guys post where you bought ur bike, and how much u paid? If its sensitive, can PM me ur deal? Coz I will be goin bike hunting with a fren (fren is purhasing), so I want to know the places to go rather than goin to all shops.

no offense to other bol dor riders but am feel that my bike is beginning to look like just the bigger version of my kips less the side fairing and kick start.......

nope... the same at Spec's...

 

but last nite saw one uncle on a bol dor... the headlights also very bright... cos we both stop side by side at traffic light and i can see both our headlights projected on the front car rear... almost the same as what i have before changing to the whitelight bulb...

the version that i was told is that the reflector inside is specially designed and the cover is made of 'crystal-like' material, unlike the older version of S4... so more lights can pass through...

 

believe it or not its your choice...

lass: i think ur bike looks nice la... really i wld prefer a windshield in front of me than to care too much about looks.

 

when travelling at past 100 km/h speeds the naked spec can really get into you, esp along ECP. so can imagine going jb.

 

i like the s4 cb1300 boldor version though, looks better with the fairing, cos spec3 with that big fairing may look a tiny bit small. but who will buy a 1300 s4 in singapore?? might as well go with a 600cc or 1000cc gao liao.

with or without windscreen, it juz needs a bit of getting used to.

 

u won't feel any significant difference travelling at 100km/h or 150km/h once u r used to it. its a little like a walk in the park

suggest you do a simple test, go to the void deck at nite time with a nake spec III (orignal lights) and both of you shine onto the wall and you will see the result for yourself...

 

anyway, like i mentioned before, if you really want your headlight to shine, change a bulb to higher power one... can get alot of bulbs at 3500k - 4000k. But the ultimate is the philips diamond vision at a whopping 5400k.

juz to clarify some misconceptions.

the numbers do NOT represent the power of the bulb. it represents the temperature of the light emitting from the bulb. k = kelvin.

white light gives the optical illusion that it is brighter due to how a human eye works.

 

power of light is measured by lumens, which is seldom represented/shown on the box, but often reflected in the price. that's y, some bulbs @ 4000k (eg. china made, LAB) can be cheaper than other bulbs @ 4000k (eg. philips, osram).

keke still miss ur tuono eh? haiz me too. my hubby spotted it on the rd w a male rider. well, i do like the windshield and makes it look a bit like a tourer. guess am used to having a fairing in front like the tuono n kip. 1300 in sg keke yeah a bit much and i think 400 is just nice, most of the time am doing abt 80 or 90 and no traffic up to a 100 no more than tat, too many speed cams and traps ard.

 

floppy thks for the encourgement. it's not a pc of cake for me yet cos it's heavy for me n always v slow in parking cos i always hv to tip toe. only thing is the mirror tat makes it difficult to squeeze.

no prob. u will slowly get used to the weight, give and take about 1~3months.

the mirrors if too bulky, u can try to get those phantom type from LAB. looks similarly but shorter that the handlebar ~$20 a pair.

mirror's on the fairing not on the handle bar so can't really fit anything else i think but it's the same handle bar as the naked version. someone suggest putting the regular s4 mirror on the handlebar. think it will look really odd like a TP bike.

 

keke someone ppl already started to call us the black TP lookalike and i always say yeah lah special elite force. and when i go out w my buddy and another gal friend, we look like 2 escorts for tat 1 bike

u can go for those lacer-wannabe type of small mirrors, frequently seen on lacer-wannabe sp and kips (among other makes of sports bike). but chances r, u see nutz on those mirrors.

Yes K= kelvin colour temp.

IF u r not using HID then those tinted one that change the colour of the yellow bulb only.

The brightest H4 55/60w bulb is Philips Vision Plus. So far I have not seen any H4 halogen bulb brighter than this. Those tinted bulb, how can it be brighter than those not tinted? I cannot understand....
