I sent my vara to Boon Siew to change EO and Oil Filter yesterday. In addition, they also did the following checks:

 

Functional Checks

  • Lights/Warning Lights
  • Instruments Gauges
  • Horn Operation
  • Engine Starting Ability
  • Ignition Cut-off Switch
  • Engine Performance
  • Handle Bar
  • Gear Shift

 

Visual Checks

  • Engine Oil Level
  • Brake Fluid Level
  • Coolant Level
  • Brake Pads & Discs (Front and Back)
  • Shock Absorbers (Front and Back)
  • Drive Chain / Sprockets
  • Clutch Cable and Throttle Cable
  • Air Filter

 

Check for Leaks

  • Engine Compartment
  • Transmission
  • Engine Cooling System
  • Fuel System
  • Exhaust System
  • Brake System

 

They found that my air-filter was dirty and changed it for me . . . very x . . . $143 after 25% discount.

 

Power delivery seems more smooth after the oil and air filter change.

 

Tot I share this especially to newbies like me . . . so that when they send bike to other shops for service, they can as for some of this checks :)

 

All in all, it cost me $252 . . . for 2 bottles of synethic oil, oil filter, labour and air-filter.

brake pad = $18

 

iridium spark plug x 2 = $36

 

EO = $21 (maxima full syn) + my other half bottle.

 

oil filter = $8

 

total = $148

 

cone bearing = $30

 

brake pad = $5

 

spark plug = $4

 

EO = $20 (motul 300v)

 

oil filter = $10

 

total = $69

but inside not sure. i use it (buy from thailand) b4 gg songkran. not much problem.

sorry he brakes only when red light. genting downhill also no brake, just ride thru. fierce leh...:angel:

I find planet cheaper than most places... :cheeky:

 

although I still think you got chopped... :sian:

 

i rode phantom before.....super4 cheap for servicing.

 

1l of EO + 1 plug...pick up cow sh1t.:angel:

 

maybe i should revert back to phantom but i don't like the vibration i got when travelled at 100kmh. :dot:
