they are located behind the caltax station next to geylang NPC along paya lebar road.

 

the exhaust transfer fee is fixed by the distro. so bikeshop and distro will be giving you the same price.

Thank you. Just bring the cert there and ask for transfer of ownership...The install and go for inspection...

Hi Guys...Need some advice form you all. i intend to ship in brand S exhaust. It is legal in SG distributed by M....... I checked the cost even with shipping it cost more than $200 less than the retail price here..

 

I should have the cert and invoices if I shipped them in. Like installation, I can DIY. Can I just go to inspection like this?

 

Archer, regarding the serial no. in LTA...Does the distributer actually give them all the serial numbers of the pipe they shipped in and input to their system so that can match it??

it depends on a case by case basis.

 

things you need to have when going for inspection for a LTA approved pipe:

 

IC or equivalent

logcard printout

exhaust cert from manufacturer/distributor

invoice

letter of proper installation from bikeshop

exhaust card from distributor(may not apply to all brands)

 

as for the serial numbers, most of the time will be updated to LTA's database. and some brands do change their homologation number occasionally, so even if the brand does have a local dealer, the homologation number might not be the updated 1 as in LTA's database.

 

do ask for the homologation number from local distro and the place you are going to purchase.

Guys, any idea if the exhaust is Legal But it was Modified. Will it fail the inspections ?? Let say u can see weld marks or marks on the exhaust ??

 

Who know ???? Can say the exhaust was being repaired , change fibre etc ....

depends, but most likely no. unless the brand you are getting is available in singapore and registered with LTA.

 

diff models of exhaust for different bikes will need to be registered with LTA by the distributor before it's considered legal.

any TAMPERING of the exhaust = modification.

 

so removing baffler definitely puts you in that category.

 

no idea how much the fine is though... but it is certainly illegal...

distributor for LV pipes is gmaxrace issit?

when to their showroom at desker road today but it wasnt open....

 

anyone can help to advise me if they have another branch? or office?

i need to transfer the ownership of the LV pipe. thanks
