Hi guys, is there a wired cable connected from the radiator to the engine? I bought this 08 model revo. And there seems to be a connector on the left side of the radiator BUT without cable. Please enlightened me. Its weird coz i see my uncles radiator has no cable connected to the engine at all. His bike is an 2012 model. Please help. This looks to be serious.

Please help. I fear that if it is meant to have cable linkage to the engine, my bike wont sense the heat. As revos are exceptionally hotter than other VTecs

Your motorcycle has had the radiator replaced with one from an earlier model. The temperature sensor is being used as a bung only. On the Revo the temperature sensor is fitted to the thermostat assembly. Check yours is fitted and working by idling the engine till the cooling fan switches on, if the temperature warning light comes on but no fan you have a problem and need to stop the engine and investigate further.

Refer to Skuzz post to ur reply here in this thread. He is correct. Revo do not have that Thermal fan switch..what you see is juat a dummy..a bung or a plug. Radiator is all the same except for this hole for the thermal switch..it's cheaper this way than to buy an original Revo radiator which I personally find no diff. All temperature senor are installed at thermostat housing across all models. As for ur extractor fan to work..it's electrically control by the ECU and will switch on when the sensing temperature of coolant hits at 102 degrees.

@Skuzz and @Ah Pek.. Thanks guys for these amazing helps. I will try to idle my bike and see if the fan turns on or not when the thermostat switches on. Lol!

Just note that it can take up to 15-20 mins to bring the cut the fan on...you may hear coolant in ur reserve tank boiling.

Revo uses YUASA YTZ10S (12-Volt / 8.6Ah (10 Hour)) Non-Spillable Maintenance Free battery. I got mine from LAB in April 2014 for S$110. No need to use Li-ion batteries (probably more than double the price) lah.

Hi guys..previous owner changed my revo radiator with a vtec3 radiator.. My mechanic told me that its probably already connected inside. Since the previous owner purposely break the wire connectors.. Hmm..

I took up Unique Motorsports Ohlins Front Spring package for CB400 at $320.

The package includes:

- Ohlins Fork Springs x 2pcs

- Fork oil seals x 2pcs

- Fork Dust covers x 2pcs

- Fork oil

- Installation

Problems I encountered previously were the original front fork springs were too soft for my liking and it affects the handling and controlling of the bike.

Whenever I accelerate, the bike pulls me back and the front would feel very light as the weight has shifted behind. When the throttle is closed or the front brakes are used, the bike would dive in front which I feel the weight shifted to the front very quickly. During emergency braking, the rear tire would not have enough surface contact-grip or even lifted off the tarmac as the bike dives in front and lifted up the rear resulting in a “stoppie” situation which is dangerous. The acceleration and deceleration as resulted from soft front suspension would affect the manoeuvring of the bike and indirectly compromise the safety of the rider.

After I swap out the original fork spring and change to the Ohlins ones, my ride has been consistently smooth and stable unlike the “see-saw” or “horse-riding” experience previously encountered.

Whoever feels that their front forks are too soft which has affected the manoeuvring of the bike, do take up this Ohlins front fork spring package or when it’s time for fork servicing, you can consider taking up this offer as well.

If you ask me, it’s worth the money as it’s a one-time change of the springs which could endure lifelong usage as quality do come at a cost.

Hi bros, my headlight just went off...is it easy to change the bulb on my own? Can advise me any good or compatible bulb? Thanks

Remove the 2 "+" screw on your headlight cover

Disconnect the bulb connector n

Replace with new bulb..

Standard Phillips H4 bulb u find at petrol kiosk is more than enough.. Cost ard $5 per bulb if not wrong ( can't remember the price)

Just DONT get those coloured bulb (Blue/ white or whatever tint color)

It may look cool, but will affect your bulb light throw distance compared to the original warm color

May Oso be difficult for light to cut tru 'Fog/ misty' condition

Tried & tested on Nshw darkness

Oem color temp is Proven all-weather bulb

yes it is very easy to change. the bulb you can get from petrol station. i know SPC has it for 10+ dollars for a pair but you only need one. when you buy look at the packaging and make sure it says H4 which is our bulb model. DO NOT buy wrong model as the rest cant fit NOT H1, NOT H7.

Sorry for noob question but how to differentiate abs and non abs version of revo?

See the brake disc,

For ABS, the brake disc have a sensor type around the inner diameter

For non-ABS, brake disc is a normal disc

Hi guys, anybody experience a check engine light which blinking. My revo is 08 model n recently replaced TPS sensor due to faulty TPS sensor which cost $180. After replacing TPS, before starting up e bike,i will get a blinking check engine light that which i counted blink for 8 times n stop n will continue to blink again. When i start e engine, rpm will idle as if e engine wanna stalled and i also had a jerky engine while slow riding at lower gear. Higher gear seems normal.Went to unique motorsport to get it check but mechanic juz adjust e tps and told me revo TPS always prob n tuning cannot be accurate. If want accurate change e whole TB.wtf!! Ask e salesperson whether they have diagnostic tools to scan the blinking check engine light but it was not done. Any revo owner experience this? Thankz
