Alright! Thanks! Shall go take a look tomorrow morning~ Is there anyway we can check to tell the sparks plug need to be change soon? Because i didn't asked the previous owner when was the last time he changed it. Hmm is there a need to change sprocket ? What does the sprocket actually do ?

its only a couple of bucks, change it and you can start monitoring. Just like your EO if you just took over a new bike, you can't tell also because your EO will change colour very fast as well.. The sprocket drives the chain.

It's difficult to take out the sparks plug if u don't have the tool. You can ask the mechanic to check for u when u do your next servicing. Front sprocket are attached to your gearbox, rear sprocket are attached to your rear rim, both sprockets are linked by a chain. All bikes are driven either by chain or belt. Sprockets & chain need to be change when it's wear out, and how often u need to change it also depends on your riding style and how u maintain it.

and the third one is driven by shafts for eg. some or all harleys :thumb:

Hmm thanks for info! Noted, probably ask them to check. I always been wondering these days, i usually see all the kup kias always heading in front. But mine always like lagging behind :/ Anyway if i always going whacking @ 100km , will if be bad for the engine itself?

tuning for pickup perhaps? Not suprising if its the 135ccs yamaha ahead of the waves.

hi wanna ask' date=' Newbie to wave here, Beside the place you pump petrol there is a tube. What is that tube? and.. i put a thin towel on top of the fuel unit, is it ok? the mechanic said it's unhealthy; could anyone shed some light? :)[/quote']

Petrol sensor for your reference on the meter. I don't see why its unhealthy, would like to hear from other bikers too ;)

anyways, what's a good EO to use? i just want a smooth ride.

Anyone tried OWS?

also, is fully synthetic too good for a Wave? i mean like will it's full potential be utilised or is a semi just good enough?

Using whatever EO is all up to u, not much difference if u change it regularly. I go for fully syn EO cos the differences in price is just a few bucks since Wave only using 1 litre, and I make it a point to do servicing on a monthly basis. I've tried a few different brands before, currently on Elf 10w50. So far so good... :)

ah i see. :) i might try agip, there's a store nearest to my place selling that. anyone tried AGIP?

oh a story to share, was heading towards camp and saw a fellow soldier on his black wave but was different. if i wasn't mistaken, his exhaust was Leovince "4Road". and the sound was bassy but not too overpoweringly irritatingly loud. it was like the purr of a lion (haha, excuse my excitedness as i get happy hearing good aftermarket exhausts)

I met with an accident when i buang after my throttle cable jammed when i closed throttle. So the thing is , even after i close throttle, the bike is still engaged.. Abrasions here and there.. *Haiz*.. 1 full week after getting the bike.. But still the mechanic leong at Sin Boon say my clutch plate koyak already. Thats why in my previous post i said when kick up gear, no immediate response, can feel and hear the clutch having difficulty engaging and after a full 2 seconds then the clutch engage, the bike will suddenly pick up speed.

For bikes running on Fuel Injection, there's no need to service your fuel injector. Fuel injector are not expose to air direct from the airbox, so it won't get clog or dirty so easily. But do change your fuel filter every 20k km to maintain the fuel system. Unlike the carburetor, fuel injection system are more fuel efficient, but also more expensive. :)

Wave itself already has a fuel filter inside issit?

My bike is 8 years old. The mileage says 99999999999999999999999999km.. Can it be reset?

The digital meter for Wave S cannot be reset after reaching 99999.9km, u need to change the whole meter which cost less than $100 if u buy at LAB.
