I do agree many time ah chong save me money. Since i change to steed, i feel ah chong service went down. However for this incident, its under claims, not my money, and ppl bang me behind.

He's just trying to earn more. Can claim quite a large sum from the driver's ins company. The cheaper services he use, the more change he gets...

I am not stating that ah chong is no gd, he did save me some money b4... maybe he is juz not too good with steed? shrugz.. but cosmetic stuff, all along i wunt wan ah chong to handle lol...he is those bike can operate he will ask u go type.. anyway i sharing oni...ah chong is still pretty gd with most of my phantom repair then..

Fjt can offer cheap price in parts. Iridium Plug $12 per pc. I have compare a few spare part shop nearby. So i think they are cheap and no GST. For your reference.

True true.. His good in certain bikes only.. But u can entrust yur steed to him to do minor issue.. More major issue bring your bike to Rossli better ;D

hi guys wads the norm price of just tuning the dual carbs? as in rosli or amir? i think ah chong is adept in bikes but regarding tuning carbs for steeds, hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm..... :|

rider's throttling, highway or town riding, lousy or good brakes, tire pressure, so many etc etc. hahaha, not just tuning.

If you are referring to aftermarket pipes, then only ebay or online order from states which will cost around $1k. (maybe lesser cos now USD low). If you want cheaper range, you can make a trip to Bangkok and bring it back. (cost around $500 or less)

If you want better sound, can seach for previous posts and you will find some answers. Maybe you can start reading this thread from year 2009, and you might find lots of useful informations.(not only pipes)

If I don't remember wrongly, someone posted: "Rosli does magic to exhaust", with nice sound, not sure about performance. (Charging $200++)

But do bear in mind, aftermarket pipes will not pass inspections.

Update on the accident,

 

All repair went to ah chong, and it is the first i am very disappointed in his service. the bike came back,

- paint job badly done after 2 times sending back.

- Bike cannot start, after which diagnose to be some wire problem, after repair some other problem arise. So i went to Amir. He helped me to solved it, and Amir stated tat wat planet did was totally not necessary.

- Screws missing and replaced with "non original", rubber under tank missing.

- Finding from paintshop. Planet promise me to repaint all damaged parts, the paint shop said everything is juz touch up and not respray the whole part. I dunnoe if this is the rite process. stated from paint shop touch up might "turn bad" after some time like bubble forming. The paint shop say is planet problem, planet say is paint shop problem.

 

This incident caused me a lot of cab fare which i end up going to Amir for technical issues and suck my thumb for those cosmetics problems... LOL! Sharing...

 

Can anyone advice me if i can check the claims for my bike? Ah chong did it for me but i dun really trust him now. anyway to check on my own?

 

Anyway my bike hit around 170+ before going to reserve.

 

I wasn't know much about what happen. But you may seek Team HKL (Bt Merah Lane 1). They are pro in claiming.

 

I am working in insurance motor claims. I can give you some advice if so.
