now working on the base plate that the seat will be secured to. it also acts as a cover for the exposed wiring. once all the fab work are ready. test secure the seat and test ride (without upholstery) will update further.

As claimed, There's a need to drive when we have a Family. But all that is needed to ride is Dream... Many are still dreaming about it.

Installed back my rear shock today. Not too bothered w the comfort, actually pillion my wife and rode almost 80km that night w/o much complain. But I find hardtail bikes dangerous.. The rear end will hop during e-brake.. I tried a few diff tire pressure but it still locks up.. The bike actually rides slower also,it'll slow down a bit everytime u hit a bump.. Can't corner fast also, imagine the rear wheel hopping during corners.. I just tried it out of curiosity to see how it feels like.. It's cool, but I'm not cool enough.. Haha

Relocated the engine start switch and the headlight switch.. Hope to install the bar soon as it's collecting dust already..

No more fender.. U ask Sprint74,he got one w tail light..

The seat pan like a bit short leh.. Not quite proportional to the bike.. The bike is long and narrow, the seat short and wide.. I think if u trim a little off the sides it'll look better IMO

good effort but you should do this seat withe the fender installed. i dunno what you will be using but compression of the seat may hit your fender.. better be safe than sorry

also.. if u dun mind my comments.. try to shift the hinged bracket at an angle following the slope of your tank.. the lines of the seat now looks abrupt as the tank slopes down. dun have to follow exactly but jus try to let the seat have a sloping profile.. u will need to curve up the back end summore so it cups your a$$.. What terribleone said also applies. unless u are going for the classic indian looks.. if not then its nicer to have a narrower looking seat.

Thanks guys. :)

I agree with all your comments.

the seat is too broad to my liking too.

the rest of the fab will be done with the rear fender on.

I was just curious to see the potential of a rear fender mod for the next phase by removing the fender.

ya. the angle of the seat is abrupt because I only place it there. :cheeky:

Haven't bolt it on yet. was taking measurements to fab the wiring cover at the bottom of the seat pan. Just anxious to spice up the steed thread to encourage more modders.

just got a FM plate VLX and happily rode for 1000 plus km~~:thumb:

love the pulsating note of the V twin~~

noob question : blinker doesnt blink when stationary but blink "a few times" only when bike is moving when signalling,

Battery going out? model recommendation ?

rectifier cost?

tks a zillion!

steeds and shadows front signals will be constantly ON when the bike has been turned on. the rear signals will be OFF.

When you activate the signals, whichever side will be blinking.

Here's the chopped VSE fender. $50 with brakelight and number plate bracket (or can mount onto the light itself). Gap was high although lowered the rear shock with the lowering kit. May look better with hardtails. PM me if interested.

If your bike can start and move, and headlights shining bright, then not battery problem. Maybe your signal condenser is the problem.. Good luck and update us on the actual problem..

If you're all wondering how Solitude_88's steed look like...

Looks a bit like the above bike, only with drag bars and a very unique colour. Would've bought if he advertised earlier...Exhaust also like that...
