Nice works

On the ape-bar, did you simply get a longer speedo cable, or did modify the stock cable ?

:bounce:

Hi Demon,

The speedometer cable is the stock one, just long enough:smile:

But for the throttle and brake cable,u got to find a longer one to fit the ape-hanger handlebar.

:goodluck:

currently my handlebar is straight dragbar

Gear & bake pedals local or import?

If local, are it from JB shop?

hi all, just double checking to all steed riders.

wat brand of engine oil you all reccomend and where can the oil filter be purchased?

Posted

Me currently using Fuchs semi-syn.

Using original Honda oil filter, purchase frm Planet. If you prefer DIY, can get frm FJT/Chong Aik/Eversuccess/Boon Siew?

Gauntlet, I guess you meant the steering cover just in front of the fuel tank. If it is, then just in front of the fuel tank there is one screw. Remove this screw. There is one fastener on each side of the cover. The fastener is somewhere near the center of the cover. Slowly peel the cover sideway.(away from the frame). The radiator cap is on the right side hidden by the steering cover. Hope this helps.

For electric horns maybe someone else has a better way of fixing it . But for me I will fabricate a "Y' wire harness for each + and - terminal. This will split each terminal for installing a pair of electric horn. Thanks.

PS. I'll be glad if anyone find this info is wrong and help correct it.

K, not sure if Im wrong, I'll be using the same method as I did on my Phantom.

1) Connect "+" frm battery to a 10A fuse, optional if you want to plug it into a fuse holder.

2) Frm fuse(holder), connect to a relay(Bosch or frm bought horn package), center pin(shld be 30).

3) Dislodge the 2 black lugs frm yr OEM horn, plug them onto the relay pins(shld be 85 & 86).

4) Now comes the output, get 2 wires done(with lugs), connect frm relay pins(shld be 87/A, both identical pins) to horn's either pin. The other pin by the horn have to be earth, either back to the horn(center bolt area or any part of the bike body.

*Horn assembly is to be tighten before testing of sound.

*To prevent short IU, can unplug/screw the fuse for the IU before testing.(Pls rmber to plug/screw it back on thereafter.)

*Wires, relays, fuse(+ holder, if have) are to be secured(by cable ties?) & try to prevent exposure to wetness.

Havent tried on my Steed yet, gona get the crashbar on 1st before mounting the horns.

I recommend DIY cos @ least when something goes wrong, you can rectify yrself shld any problem(cross fingers) arises.

Elsewise, you can bring along yr horns to any bike shops & pay for them to help you fix on.

Hope this helps....

Sorry Im not quite sure which part of the tank you are refering to though...

As of abv, Steed's crashbar can be easily found.

As for horn, think Mustafa only carries Fiamm & Hella, abit overprice I feel, nonetheless, personal preference.

Got my Stebel thru MO frm forum. Think can get cheaper frm LAB.

Look ard before deciding? :goodluck:

Oops.

Went Mustafa yesterday.

Saw they finally brought in the range of Stebels. Price wise, I would say competitive lah.
