but this this what the insurance company staff suggest to me...

 

check with the insurance company premium b4 heading do to the motorshop to check the price...

 

and if price diff tell them ask for break down... cos if no choice the bike shop had to do the insurance for us ther no way for them to collect/jack up the price as commission...

i mean got how many day in advance or can i renew right after my inspection?

anyone can help me...my insurance still have at least half a year before expiry..if i would to sell of my bike...would i get a refund??

Yes read the back of your copy of your insurance cover letter.

For NTUC income you will receive

 

 

(85% of the premium) X (Unexpired period of insurance)

________________________________________________

 

(Original Period of Insurance)

 

In other words, do not delay the claiming of your refund!

it is true that now insurance change to taking the youngest age? cos i juz renew my insurance and my premiums went up to 300 extra, when i ask them, they say now take the youngest age.. cos this the third time i renewing it. first two years the premium amt is under my fren's father age.. which is 208. now i hav to pay 508.. anyone same system as me and was told this?

actually starting last year i think..

 

ya.. even the main rider is 50 plus

and the sub rider is 18.. the premium will take the 18 instead of the 50 yrs old one..

driving and riding different

the insurance for driving can cover any driver as long as the owner of the car gives permission for him/her to drive the car

 

for riding, insurance only covers main rider + 1 subrider

anyone else who is caught riding the bike will be severely dealt with together with the vehicle owner. both will kena jia lat. very likely to go back driving school to take class 2B all over again.

 

so my advice for anyone who is thinking of taking chances by riding yr friends' motorbikes, will be:

u ride u buang u die nvm, dont kill/injure other innocent road users or worse still, sabo yr own friend!

Yap.. it can be done. Just go back to your bikeshop or agent. They will prorate it for you.

500+ minimum, depend on what bike you buying too. new riders under the age of 25, the premium is around that range.

I have heard of ppl going directly to insurance company to renew insurance despite still in loan.

Maybe you can check with the insurance company as there's no harm trying.

cos i not sure if go directly is who not happy? the previous insurance company or bikeshop...

 

i called AXA and it seem that they dun mind doing it for me as my previous is with mitsui.. they only say is i still under loan and is under AXA then cannot..

so i presume that change company can go direct.. wonder will motor shop find out.. if i go direct...haha

i sold my bike last week, however my insurance premium expires on next month. i was wondering can i ask for the remaining premium to be insured on another bike? Or maybe i can take back some money?

BTW i extended my insurance to tally with my road tax, that is why now i still have about 1 month plus of premium remaining.
