my road tax going to expiry in July, i need to renew my insurance before i can renew my road tax. my insurance expiry in Oct, so can i make my insurance expiry date parallel with my road tax?

If i renew my road tax in July, it will expiry in Jan 2004, can i extend my insurance expiry date from Oct 2003 to Jan 2004?

I pay the pro-rated or i need to extend it till Jan 2005 (1 yr insurance + 3 month pro-rated ) in order to make my insurance parallel with my road tax?

my insurance is with NTUC, 2nd party, around 400+ yr.

i just bought a sp FS plate on january, any idea when or where i can know when my 1st inspection gona be?

 

when the letter for inspection is sent to you?

 

OR

 

you can know by looking at the rd tax expiry. whether you shd refer to the 1yr or 6mths expiry date, it depends on ur bike's last rd tax renew period.

Yesterday I happened to ask a 35 y.o. how much his insurance was for his R1 and Phantom. According to him, his R1's insurance was 600+, and Phantom is 100 with change to spare. You can probably estimate off this, but just give a call to the insurance companies to ask. Come on, don't be lazy ;)

Does anyone know the maximum NCD for bike insurance, I thought it was 30% but when i cx NTUC website ,it shows 20%.

 

Another thing is , if i was previously riding class 2A does the NCD move on to the class 2 insurance?

 

And if someone claim 500 from my bike insurance, lets say class 2 bike with a yearly 500 premium, how much roughly will i expect my next year insurance to be...

bike ncd max at 20% correct what. its diff from car.

 

i doubt anyone can ans u about how much u being claim n how much will be the increase. insurer wont reveal plus the basis of different age rider n diff company may differ.

 

ncd follow name(main rider), within 2yr of previous bike cancellation of insurance, ncd can still be used.

adjust to same date is ask ur insurer, alot of ppl have posted done it before.

Maxumum NCD for bike is 20%. In NTUC u will entitle an addition 5% discount if u hv personal life insurance with them.

what i've found out it's not for motorcycles, it's for motorcars only.

fyi, as others have mentioned umpteen times, max ncd for motorcycles is 20%.

The Certificate of Merit (COM) entitles a driver to a 5% discount on vehicle insurance premium from participating insurance companies, over and above his No-Claim Bonus (NCB).

 

A driver is eligible for a COM if, at the point of purchasing a car insurance coverage, he/she has maintained for the past 3 years, a continuous demerit-point-free driving record. This means that, if a driver has committed a traffic offence any day in the 3 years immediately before an insurance purchase that resulted in him/her being "awarded" demerit points, he/she would no longer be eligible for a COM on the day that he/she purchases the insurance.

call them up @ 65542288. only u hav ur particulars for them to quote for u.. axa motorcyle ins is handled by ANDA.. cheap? ex? cheap for millionaire, ex for everyone..

thank for replying. I got their quotation alr. btw is there any ways to prove my passing date other than the license card? cos i lost my licence card and it need 1mth to send over to me. and right now i need it for the insurance. any ideas how?

heard about AIG too..

 

for me, i'm 24 this year and i used to be with anda, but now i think ntuc is the cheapest, and anda will take damn long to refund your back your money if you decide to cancel the bike's insurance. NTUC seems to be the most efficient :)
