and yrs without ncd should be

 

nothing less then 700

this is my rough estimation

y not u call up the insurer to have it quote for u? rather the asking here might not give u the correct info..just dial their hotline number.

below is my post on page 25.. i answered to a person asking about insurance quotation.

 

rem that the quotation also depends on the make & model of your bike and the number of insurance claims on the company for the same make & model as yours. get me? no?

 

ok.. for EXAMPLE given same age, same road exp, no previous ins claims, same ncd, same policy (eg 3rd party), a honda sp(2B) ins might b cheaper than a kawa krr(2B) ins in ntuc but vice versa in axa.

 

likewise, honda s4(2A) ins CAN be cheaper than a yamaha tzm(2B) ins on the same ins company..

 

so for your case, ntuc may b ex for u but not for others.

 

the only solution is to call up every ins company and ask quotation for YOUR bike. =)

 

below is an example i got from a few pages back..

that is the best way to find out the quotation for YOUR bike..

do NOT ever compare quotation pricing with another make/model just because of same class..

 

Just a rough guide.

 

25 years old, 3 years exp, Phantom 200 FW plate (5years old) with 20% NCD

TPFT insurance

 

NTUC (67886616): $393

AXA (65542288): $428

ANDA (65542288): $429

Needless to say, NTUC FairPrice!!

 

as such, ntuc may the cheapest for this guy above but probably not the cheapest for you.

Anyway, NTUC do take into consideration the year of the bike also, i ask ntuc for FZ wave 125, its $305, fbc fino 115 its $366!!, i tought lower cc, cheaper insurance, third party somemore, called up anda which is also axa and they quote me $295, which is abt $70 cheaper than ntuc!!, so guys pls ask diff insurance company for quotations before buying...

erm depends on wat u consider new bike... 2nd hand from direct owner or really new bike from shop...

 

if 2nd hand direct owner... then u just have to call up ur insurance company and get quotation... let them know u are under them.. check ur ncd... but for ncd to apply.. u must sell off current bike first.. then transfer the ncd over.. then another thing is ur insurance certificate... its usually with bikeshop since u buy from them.. just take from them and bring to the insurance company ( at least this is the case for axa.. ntuc say they dun need..~just did this in the afternoon.. going axa tmr.. lol) sign ur new policy and off u go...

 

if u are getting a new bike from shop... just pay admin fee abit.. they settle everything for u.. save the time save the trouble...

Hi Guys , Got ques.

 

My bike is under Hire Purchase from a bikeshop. And i wanted to allow a buddy to carry on installments without transfer of ownership as transfer of ownership requires upfront payment and stuff.

Is it possible to withdraw from my previous insurance from Alliance and do up a new insurance under NTUC

for my buddy ? Does the bike shop penalise you for not going through them ?

Lose another 5% reduction

ntuc doesnt have the cert of merit but do have 5% loyalty if ur insured with them for atleast 3 years. which all others doesnt have. so plus minus its the same
