Today I tested my black colour Asus Eee PC at a food centre in Thomson area using Qmax "Priority WiFi Access" wireless@sg to watch a movie "CJ7" at http://so.56.com

My connection is so smooth and fast, downloading is as good as my home starhub broadband. I could watch the movie while eating my dinner with my wife.

Extremely surprise, I was initially expecting very jerky downloading of web pages with graphics and pictures such as channel news asia, asiaone, onemotoring.com and singaporebikes.com, but it was a breeze.

It doesn't make any difference whether a motorcyclist has the right-of-way or not, the rider is the one most likely to get hurt.

:thumb: thks for the review on online movie watching. It clears my doubts.

I think this Asus is a real good deal. I kind of like the fact it has no moving parts - no hard disk. So it shld be pretty durable to carry it around like a turbo charged PDA.

i did lots of hands on test on the asus eee, Kohjinsha 7" ultra portable & packard bell 7" ultra portable. Finally i end up buy kohjinsha , coz i like the built quality. Kohjinsha 's cheapest model is $900 which is $300 more than asus eee. But you get a hard disk & win XP O/S which will cost u if you decide to upgrade the asus eee. Only plus is asus has a 900mhz cpu compare to the slower Kohjinsha and much tweaking on the registry is required to maximise the speed.

today saw this asus eee selling at $700 plus in Funan, with 20GB solid state hard disk.

http://eeepc.asus.com/global/900.htm

Its running on linux & the screen is 8.9" The total dimension looks same as the 7" asus eee, becoz the 8.9" LCD occupies the whole Lid unlike the 7" LCD.

i tested the rebooting of eeePC 900 running on XP at Courts just now, its much much faster than my kohjinsha running on Vista with 2GB ram.
