Bro using it..Only available in 4GB version when he gt it around 2 months back..Small 7" display.Appearance wise is nt cheap looking. The Linux O/S has nearly every single program which you would need.Strongly suggest getting a 1GB 667Mhz RAM to speed things up.

I have it but I don't recommend getting it. If any1 of u are really looking for something small, go for Kohjinsha.

It's a tablet mini PC, flippable touch-screen, runs on Windows OS. Same size as e Asus' one.

I bought it at around 1k, but it's definitely more worth it compared to the eeePC by Asus.

The 4GB version selling at $598. if upgrade to XP, then RAM need to upgrade to 1GB. 4GB solid state hard disk too little for XP. Better wait for the 8GB version during PC show in march. Also consider the cost of upgrading from linux to XP.

If considering all these costs, it might be cheaper buying Kohjinsha, coz the cheapest model is S$900+ & it comes with XP already.

Conclusion:

i think the asus eee, better to buy it & use it as it is - linux o/s, coz its pretty fast. If think of converting to XP, then buy Kohjinsha instead.

the promotion states the cheapest one goes for 1.1K. where did you get the 1k deal?

i went around shopping for eee yesterday, even SLS selling for 598 with no chance for discount or freebies.

Resolution for 2009, stay healthy, get wealthy, make more friends, ride safely & pass all exams!

But if for $1k we might as well buy a full fledge lap top, just add one or two hundred more.

I am attracted to this because of the price and size. :cheeky:

It doesn't make any difference whether a motorcyclist has the right-of-way or not, the rider is the one most likely to get hurt.

i was asking the other guy where he managed to get the Kojinsha for 1k. cuz the kohjinsha is 1.3k for the high stats model and 1.1k for the lower end one. the size seems to be slightly smaller than the eee.

i went hunting around for eee just now. best denki says sold out at vivo. IMM also cannot find, sold out. currently ngee ann city still have though. u can go there and grab one.

i decided to give up liao, not buying anymore. :sian:

kohjinsha when first launched was only 900+. Maybe the march PC show got offer for it as well as eee.

------

there's pro & cons for eee & kohjinsha. if wanna compare, we cannot compare in terms of upgrading eee to XP, coz it's pointless. Must compare in terms of eee running on linux.

EEE is extremely hardy coz no moving parts - no hard disk. Cons is limited softwares.

Kohjinsha got hard disk & higher resolution screen & equally small, portable & light. Can almost put inside yr waist pouch nicely. But got hard disk means u can't hold in yr hand coz any vibration can damage the read/write head of the hard disk. Software choices is unlimited.

what's the name for the March PC show? hopefully Asus will bring in the 8gb version.

read the reviews, heard that kohjinsha has a slower processor than the eee. :faint:
