Installed the Lightech sliders without much fuss.

Initially, I felt akward with the slidings jutting out so close to my legs and occasionally, my shin will knock into the sliders. However, got used to it after a while.

Do note that riders who are of short legs are not advised to install these sliders as paddling the bike can be a chore. You have to spread your legs wider.... *sigh*

Hi viffers,

while parking accidentally trip and drop the bike...

the windscreen condition was already quite dull and dry before, now after the drop slightly cracked....

Went to Motoworld the staff told me no stock for MRA and need to place order and deposit to ship from Germany~ $150

They do have Italy Ermax but more co$ly... and they do not carry Zero Gravity Double bubble...

Just curious any viffer here like to share and comment on ur views of using either MRA or double bubble/sportsTouring or any other? Where to get besides MotoWorld? and roughly how much?

actually eye-ing on MRA Spoiler or is Double bubble/SportsTouring better or cheaper?

ZG touring $150, bought from Sporting motor. But broke by a tree branch.

Very clear but thinner. maybe 3mm, sporting look.

Givi $150, bought at Chiap Lee. Now using

Thicker than ZG with a small curve lip on top.

I think this is the tallest touring screen available for vtec.

I have the ZG from Extreme Equipment... paid over a hundred but can't remember cos it's over 2 years ago... like it. Been touring a couple of times with it, but must duck behind it to avoid the blast.

I got my MRA on order from Motoworld in early Mar 09 after a 2 months wait, but sold it to a friend who needed it more and is now waiting for another to arrive. Another fren just bght the other 6th gen screen in mid Mar. In both instances they cost $130. They're tourer screens with a slight upturn at the edge - more protection. I like MRA cos the quality its the best among the many i've seen or used.

If you want, it might be good to book quickly as they order on a 2 monthly delivery schedule and the 1 month marked has just been crossed. Si if u are lucky u might be able to squeeze in yr order.

I don't think you can find that at any shop. From what I was told by my friend at Boon Siew, the 5th Gen VFRs have had their blinker lights and sirens brought in from Honda. Same for the Varaderos used by Certis CISCO marshals.

Perhaps you can get blinker lights from security shops or scout at Autobacs. Then, custom tool a bracket from Seng Kwang for the mount.

Currently using the MRA Race Shield bought from Motoworld last November. A bit squeaky at low speed due to the rough cuts at the mounting points but wind buffeting is very good. Ample coverage for you to duck under when going in excess of 200 km/h.

Viffer is worth keeping !! If sell, u never get to know when u can ride it again, cos the shop when sell will definitely quote much higher and u will find that its not so worth paying for it already.....so mine as well keep wat you have and no regrets !

btw, wana ask some opinion.....my tank bra is already ko-yak, the leather dried up, having crack lines....quite a lot of dust inside the bra which i believe maybe the disintegration of the Bra........btw i am using the candy red tank bra to match my ride......

kinda of regret getting the candy red....reason is becos when after a long usage time....the bra gets dirty...and when clean it....u wont be able to get the dirt out completely......so some patches on the bra are clean ....some are dirty.......

need the tank bra to attached my tank bag during touring.......was thinking.....shd i get back the candy red........or should i get the black bra......if i dont remember wrongly....the black tank bra does not have the word VFR embroided on it am i right ?

what would u guys do ? get a bra that match the bike, or would u get a more "pratical" color ? To me...its kinda of 50% 50% for both reasons....thats why still hestitaing...haiz..

Burn the bra i say. Why cover up the great looking body?

Get a new Magnetic Tank bag instead. Takes seconds to put on an off.

I've got a 2nd hand cheapo moto-fizz magnetic tb that lasted me years on countless trips. the toughest is the 8,000km trip to the Golden Triangle last Dec and on my regular weekend day rides. Never a single moment of problem.

does the tank bag scratches the tank ?

i believe the movement of the tank bag actually depends on the heavy load that it is carrying? like when going through corners the tank bag may fidget on the tank ?
