anyone into good rear shocks???!!!???!!!

 

FS: Super 4 Ohlins Suspension

Was told that MEZZO did not do the posting, it was archer that posted. Mezzo says that it is not their policy to Post on the forum. The suspension is a WMT type with is the same with Harley and Superfour except they use different spring and different valvings. They also said that they will warrenty for 1 year including rust. They told me that the bad batch rusted in 4 months. and some units had claimed warrenty and still OK.

but funny leh... sometime back, archer fish posted saying that Mezzo will contact me regarding the email i sent to Bitubo, Italy...

how he know ah? fishy right?

i only know tat after i sent out my last email to Mezzo, i was awaiting their reply till today...

think i'll personally make a trip to Mezzo one of this days to see if things can be done...

with regards to the rusting issue, i believe mezzo has offered something to you to restore the condition. but apparently you were the one who didn't wnat to take up the offer. so why are you complaining to the whole world now?

 

your model was the 1st couple of batches if i didn't remember wrongly. and if it did rust, the best mezzo could do was to recondition it for you. but you are asking for a replacement set with a new model.

 

buanging a '00 r1 and asking for a '08 r1 in return, not bad aye?

those who wants a good rebuilt of ur showa go to KnT, done mine , 250 bucks 4 a pair throw in another 20 for metal bushing 2 compress the spring to make it even more harder....at the 1st groove feels like last time maxing out the showa lol. u can feel ur shocks bouncing if ur shocks r wearing out , uneven roads will cause ur bike 2 bounce , tat means ur shock need 2 rebuilt or change liao.i no money 2 buy new 1s so rebuilt lor ...

regarding stock Showa suspensions, i was thinking...

 

if we replace the springs with the CB1300 Showa springs, will it do good?

simply go measure the diameter of the fork tube. then measure the length of the fork..

tis will give u a rough measurement of how big is the fork spring...

then u compare to ur s4 and u will know...

if u really wan to do up ur fork.

u can either convert RVF fork to S4 or simply get a hyper pro spring. which i know that motorworld used to sell it for S4. nt sure now.

 

on weather will the spring to do u good.

of cos a higher spring rate spring will be better then a lower spring rate.

but it also need the valving to great the damping effect

 

go read up more if u want.

Bro,LAB and Bike Lab is two different shop...U make me shock lah...Btw i'm currently using YSS rear shocks,so far so good lah. Springs are more stiffer than stock showa ones. But still early to say.

Nope i'm using YSS C series rear shocks,My ori showas are under my bed due to oil seal leakage.
