Holders of Class 2A & those getting 2A license

Hi everyone. Welcome. For those who already got their 2A license, please share how many times you go for each lesson and how many times u took to pass the TP test. You can also kindly share some tips with those who haven't got but are going to take the 2A license. For example, what are the steps u do to get through the figure of 8 course; crank course smoothly & etc. Thanks! All ure advice are appreciated.

fpr 2A, i went through stage 1 once and stage 2 and 3 twice, but I went for 4 practice. I really wanted to be sure. Yes I got 8 points similar to my 2b and then i also went for about 4 practice lessons after my lesson 8. yup i spent more money, but passing first time is what I want although i spent more money. another rumour which i heard is that its easier to past in the last 3 months of the year.

Took at CDC, and gosh, I hate the Giant Crash Bars sticking outwards of the rear of the bike, create problems for me at the slalom.

 

Tips for taking 2A:

Fig. 8 - Maintain throttle and only use rear brake to control speed. (I know its the basics that you are taught in 2B, but some will still open and close throttle to control, like myself. That can be done in 2B, but due to the difference in the bike torque in 2A, the bike will jerk alot and you'll not go through the Fig. 8 smoothly.

Bumpy Course - You'll most likely be taught to use the open & close throttle with concurrently clutch in/out method. My preference is half clutch all the way, occasionally playing by ear. In other words, whatever can get you pass that bumpy course longer than 6 seconds.

Haiz seriously very pai seh tat time, fell from bike frm time to time... I machiam like a 2B newbie...(somemore I don't think 2B riders fell from bike from time to time also) especially fig8 always out of course wan. Super low morale for my first two lesson.

one good tip, don't go too low because I got advised when my shoe and crashbar went down and it was kinda loud during figure 8
