Pardon me, but by Spore standard plus it is just natural gas (non-explosive nature) though compressed, couldn't be 'that dangerous' right?

Natural gas is combustable but it is not dangerous. It is compressed so that a large quantity can be squeeze into a small space. So the CNG tank is designed to stowed the gas at 200 bars which is considered extremely high pressure. In diving terms, every 10m underwater is 1 bar.

But technology is matured enough to contain this risk. Read the FAQ :

I heard the gas tank is very strong can withstand great shock like bang, drop, etc. Furthermore there is safety release valve, if anything happened, the gas will blow out the valve and dissipate very quickly in the air (there is not much dangerous vapour fume like petrol or alcohol)

Besides, CNG is more abundant, cheaper & MUCH CLEANER than petrol engine. THe efficiency is much higher (i.e. more % of fuel is used to make power whereas alot of petrol goes out the tailpipe). Loss of power not more than around 20% of petrol, and range is compromised by about 30% . But if you get a CNG manufactured car instead of converted , you get a bigger gas cylinder in place of the petrol tank, range is not much affected, maybe 15% ?

And oh,another thing is, one of reasons why petrol is so exp is because of great consumption & wastage by cars, vans etc. If alot of them switch to Natural Gas, it will reduce price of petrol for us Bikers ! yippeee

Lets see more vehicles switch to CNG !

Motard Man >> MZ Motorradd << where can i get one ?
