Not into fancy mods, full stock DRZ400 2005.

This is NOT a TRADE WITH other bikes sales.

 

1. Comes with new 10yrs COE till 31 May 2025 (True 6k COE)

2. Leisure transport bike by matured rider.

3. Milleage 51K+. Good engine. Original Stock meter is still working.

4. Road Tax till Dec 2015.

 

5. Things currently on bike.

New tires.

New Slim IU.

Voltmeter

Zeta Levers.

All stock parts are on the bike and new tail fender.

Went to Loois Motor, Bikewerks and Hot Shots. Asking wat to do for 50, 000km DRZ. All say the engine is very healthy and outlook is good for 10yrs old. They all say there is no need to do unnecessary overhaul for the bike. Dont waste money. Just change EO regularly can already.

 

So i just change EO at 1500km and also seldom ride too. Only use for project sites at CBD that cannot go for my bulky tourer.

 

I bought the bike due to stock and gd engine. And only change the necessary stuffs.

This is my first time getting a motard. So dnt really sure wats need to do.

I am really fortunate to have known you from forum. But regret only known you now.

 

Cox for the past so many years from year 1996 till 2015. Been riding and driving from lorries, vans, merc, bmw, Honda cars to bikes like skipper, cbr400, fino, vespa, xr400, cb400, cbr600, cbr1000, gsxr1000(new), and GTR1400 (Current) etc. I think I am too naïve in the past to believe that used bikes and cars are worth buying. Cox I had absolutely NO IDEA that odometer can be tampered with (sorry for me being a nerd here).

 

Are you able to give some tips to all the sellers and buyers in this forum (at least to help some ppl like me here) which bikeshops and car workshops are able to adjust the odometers?) Cox if I had known you earlier then I should have go shops to adjust my stock meter to very low mileage before selling. I could be able to fetch very high price for my DRZ lolz. So I might be able to look for better bikes or new bikes perhaps after sell my DRZ.

 

My current GTR1400 is coming to 2 years old on Sept and clocked 10, 450km currently (seldom use). I could use some help to reduce the odometer when I intended to sell later. If sell high price then I sure treat you starbucks coffee for 1 month.

 

Last Saturday my friend's DRZ otr. But mileage is ~70,000 km on almost not visible stock meter (almost spolit). At least I can go laugh at the bikeshop why so stupid don't adjust the odometer to like 30,000km and sell instead. my friend could feel so much at ease cox bought a low mileage bike.

 

But to think reverse, whats the rational of adjust the odometer on bikes? I got many friends felt comfy to get their BMW gs1200 at 100,000 - 180, 000km used. Sports tourers , super4s etc. Cox adjust liao also sell that pathetic thousands of dollars only.

 

But your reply did remind me that we should be more wary of car dealers instead of bike dealers. Cox every thousands of km they tweat on cars odometers could earn them tens of thousands of dollars!! Cars have higher dollars transactions. Don't you think so? There could be many unethical car dealers that do these just to hit extra profits!!! teambhp, You could be everyone's SAVIOUR here.

 

So I feel many of the drivers or bikers who eventually will change to cars will appreciate teambhp to give some tipsy about who can tweat our odometers to fetch good reselling price.

 

And also I am considering to get a used AUDI RS but now you have made me kinda sceptical about buy used vehicles. Cox the fact is I got NO money to buy NEW. But now scared to buy used.

 

Please advice teambhp.

 

Although I only know you now. But hope an expert like you don't mind to befriend an overage uncle nerdy like me. I am 38 anyway.
