Hi all,

Has anyone been able to fit side panniers (BMW Hepco & Becker style) on the Super 4? The exhaust can seems to be getting in the way of any such installation. The 2 ways out are -

1) Make the exhaust pipe stubby and short

2) Make custom mounting brackets for Givi boxes which would extend out from the bike maybe 20 cms.

I would prefer the 2nd method as it would keep the bike street legal, and not affect the general FC.

Could you guys help?

Thanks in advance!

Ride 'em like you stole 'em...

i dun think you can bring it down too low. not enough clearance for the ground. and if you keep your morawaki exhaust, your case will block the fumes which will melt your box during high rev. You might wanna consider getting a 30lt junior for you right side so it will come out a bit and hang beside your exhaust. But not too low. and you can get SK to align the case to the ground, it look very slanted.

i think you can further lower it down.. and try to make it straighter.. it's very nice.. someday must meet up with you to admire your set up!!

regarding the exhaust fumes issues, you can try sticking some heat insulation on your right box to prevent it from "melting/warping".. (not sure if the material will be melted by constant heat by your exhaust fumes)

the way i setup my Wingrack,

look at the gap space between my exhaust and the Right-side pannier,

went KL and back,

no issue of the box deformed due to exhaust heat...

my 2 cents... :dot:

bro,

my previous one also wun melt the box, because Yoshi pipes are cambered horizonally out.. look at Moriwaki one, it's angled up..

if really lowering the boxes, the underside of right box may kena..
