When i arrived in Chiang Mai, the temperatures were in the high 20s. Boy was i really dissappointed! Expected to get some cool weather. This morning i decided to visit Doi Sutrep National Park. Luckily i did! Didn't expect it but I gotten what i wished for!

Lowest temp encountered was 12c, was totally unprepared, only riding in a polo T.

 

Met this M'sian Family living in Bangkok on the vantage point.

The roads here are actually steeper than they look in the pictures. Some of these i had a bit of a problem riding them in 1st gear. It is also due to the altitude (>1500m) that my bike starts to backfire more often due to the lack of oxygen.

On your way back, you may wanna stop over at Prachuap Khiri Khan. Very nice hotel there Hudalong Hotel (Hope I got the name right). Excellent view of the mountains or the sea. There is also the no view opetion of the basement. Far less touristy than Hua Hin which I felt was too populated with Caucasians and less Thais.

Went around Chiang Mai to get my engine oil changed. Saw this at the bike shop... Service charge for oil change: THB50
