The local graveyard on the top area of the mountain. The graves face China.

These are the KMT ppl who settled here years ago. The tombstones i have not taken pictures as a sign of respect.

CHIANGSAEN Border Post. I have enquired about foreigners exiting the country via this checkpoint. IT IS POSSIBLE. The other side WILL ACCEPT foreigners, just that there will be NO stamp on the Thai side on your passport. That means you must return to the same checkpoint when you return to Thailand.

At Myanmar border post, your passport is retained in exchange for one of these... If you travel within the country, it will be stamped at all checkpoints along the way. It is their way of monitoring your movements within the country.

Great photos~ feel like I was there too~!

can see Mae Salong is a very nice place to hang around (too bad no Thai Pub though :p)

I like the resort the best, 200baht per night is close to S$9, unbeatable price yet cosy

I thought Singapore passport can travel to mostly all parts of the world, never had imagined to surrender your passport in exchange for one of these passport you have right now, an eye-opener.

Thanks for the report~ please keep them coming & ride safe in Myanmar :thumb:

Good to see that you're doing well on your return journey back. My bike was just as dirty when it wasn't raining. The dirt can somehow stick to the bike!
