I haven't ride my NSR150 for a few weeks and when i wanted to start riding it, i had to kickstart about 5 times before it starts. I also realise my indicator lights and horn and panel lights are all very weak....i guess it should be low battery problem....so i started to ride it everyday, but the lights and horn still seems as weak...why ???.... i thought the battery should charge itself as i ride it?...please correct me if i am wrong?

 

and how come the screen of my IU unit is always lighted up? despite i already switch off my engine.

check out if u battery is dry cell or use battery water wan.. ?

i tink u already found the reason why yr battery keep getting drained down when u park yr bike.

get the IU checked or re-wired it to the ignition switch such that it only turns on when u switch on yr ignition.

All battery discharges itself .......... some faster if u hv electrical items drawing power constantly .................... get some1 to start yr bike weekly or buy a charger to charge while u are away ..................

my battery is the battery water type

 

Batteries using e "Water type" doesn't charge by itself.. It'll never will.. Since e term is already "Water", it's obvious that ur battery's weak due to e Battery Fluid running out. All u need to do is head down to ur mech and Top-up e Battery Fluid.. DIY is also possible if u know how to.. It'll solve ur problem.. For ur IU, refer to dOn^'s methods.. It'll work..:thumb: Do correct me if i'm wrong..

yar.... it do start.... but while riding.... there will be no headlights, horn and indicator lights... which can be quite frustrating... :(

 

anyway i went to the workshop and the mechanic says i have to change my IU unit... and he charged me $150.... am i kanna chopped??

even if u ride everyday after the 3 weeks, the battery wont go back to normal trust me...im in camp training most of the time and experience this...the only solution, change battery.

riding everyday isnt enough...

 

reconditioning the battery however would help
