They r nice independent Harley guys. It seems hard to get participation physically. I dun like to say so much like saying here and there that you will or interested in taking part for convoy, but when comes to actually day nothing happened. Like people say No action, talk only (NATO)......Those pple who came 80% was not even in this forum.......

I had already wanted to start WhiteFlame for his comments when I read them last night. I felt so "accused of something which all of us did not do". But then, I was thinking perhaps I may have mis-interpruted his comments and better not anyhow in case I offend anyone here...

 

But guess, all of us here got the menaing of his comments right and all of us were really NOT gulity of whatever he said.

Yes, like the rest said, all of us were very enthu about being part of the convoy and send our well wishes to the couple. But all of us DO NOT have "PHD", so we were rejected, like Bro Blackenese said, like at a job application.

 

Even my humble ride of a Yamama "Fabulous-Joy-Ride" is NOT comparable to a "PHD". What can I say except to leave myself out of the convoy, like the rest of them...

 

Guess since the convoy is already over, perhaps Moderator can consider closing this thread to put an end to this unpleasant event, which was supposed to be a happy one.

We normally close the thread on request of the thread starter unless it gets hostile. So far I see whiteflame being corrected and perhaps you guys should give him the benefit of the doubt. Afterall he only has 10 post counts. Many of us post without reading. Yes its his fault, but he deserves the benefit of the doubt. So lets hear him out.

Hi there, with best regards therefore I will apologize if there is any misunderstood here. The issue here is not abt one riding a Harley or not. Not at all......The organizer wants to organise convoy which require custom cruiser and chopper with 400cc and above....but i think bro armofpeace mentioned dat all cc bike are invited......I guess led to deeper complication as it got worse....sori bro armofpeace....the request was later changed to Harley but still keeping the option wide to still to big cruisers if there is any......And to wat i know only 3 turn up for the convoy as compared to the latest attendance list...apart the rest was Harleys....I am not sure who turned some of u guys here like a job application....If you ride a big choppers of cruiser that fits the requirement therefore I guess the organiser will be happy enough to see u join the convoy....Guys I'm sorry k....u dun have to feel hot on your tongue if u weren't eating the chilli aite...

Hi hi...Brother WhiteFlame...I guess you only got some of the communication between myself and Brother Jumaat with regards to his brother-in-law's wants and needs....First and foremost, you didn't know that when Brother Jumaat spoke to me about requesting our fellow forum brothers to be in the convoy, he didn't mentioned about the limitations of the cc...Secondly after i posted out the invitation, his brother-in-law found out that there bikes from this forum that were lesser than 400cc and he wasn't really interested in getting the lower cc bikes but more to the big ones and if there weren't enough participation, he'd rather have the harley riders...I myself am way qualified in the cc required but i wasn't interested to join in because i felt that it wasn't fair for our other fellow riders who aren't having more than 200cc bikes but it up to those who are riding the bigger cc bikes to join in as what you saw for the convoy....

 

What i am trying to gather here is, why bring up the subject after the whole convoy is done and over with????.....What are you trying to imply with the subject as the convoy went on smoothly, we all here gave our well wishes to the wedding couple and their family, photos were taken, videos were recorded....WHAT'S WITH THE IMPLICATIONS????... As far as i know, this forum has been very supportive of every forum member or their family and friends who request for our support....But if the situation doesn't preceed our involvement, and another party would be better off getting involved without jeopardizing the event, then i can say on behalf of this forum, IT'S ALL GOOD!!!!....Also, Brother Jumaat and his family, as well as those non-Harley riders who went that day, didn't even mentioned anything with regards to the matter....My good brother, it's only a wedding convoy and the participation from our forum brothers was merely an invitation NOT mandatory...

Anyway, each their own la. We all have our own egos to play with. Plus everyone's talking about non discrimination and so on. But I see another kind of discrimination, discrimination against the discrimination. If you know what I mean. I'm sure we all like to include everyone in rides and meet ups, and also I'm sure at some point in life we'd all like to have a "same ride" gathering, like all Shadow riders or all Vespa riders, or even when going to concerts, all eg, Linkin Park or Rolling Stones lovers. There's always discrimination somewhere somehow, it's just how you deal with it. It's what makes the world it is. Imagine everything is perfect, then boring right? Like Beavis and Butthead says, "you need something that sucks to know that something is kick ass. hur hur hur"

 

Anyway this is a wedding convoy thread and 9th March 2008 is over and we're seriously going off topic. Let's keep the forum cleaner a bit for the noobs who wanna look for answers or ask questions. If we wanna talk kok somemore, maybe start a "Bike Discrimination: Yes or No" thread.

Hi hi ....Brother DreamWalk....There are nothing against the Harleys or the HD Groups....The bikes are nice, although if you can afford or if the government allows you to have specially customized and built from scratch like the ones in the western regions, that'll be better, and the HD Groups are great to hangout with coz the peps are friendly...I personally have a first hand experience on that my brother....And i also do agree with you that it's just the EGO and ATTITUDE of the riders, need it be a Hoggy or Jappy bikes, the riders attitude and ego plays a very important role in this matter....
