As for my bike, it's the IU cover that's rattling, even after changing the screws.

YOu can change your IU unit... I just change mine.... When i rev, there is a loud rattling sound.... first go to LTA, tell the counter that you have a probem with IU, than later they wil ask you bring the bike to Lane 7... then a LTA engineer with come out and see see.... than they will issue a note asking you go inspection center to change.... troublesome but worth it....

Try to use no.8 plugs for NGK and no. 24 for denso plugs...

these are for warm countries.

200cc no kick start ah? wait battery die u oso die ah unless push start which will indirectly spoilt ur CDi in long run hahahahaha.

Actually I've been wanting to make a trip to Malacca. Don't dare go as far as KL yet. Just wanna give the journey a try. If anyone is interested maybe we could all organise?

Add urself to the above list. Then Lancified can help to mass order from a Sg shop that will order the filters from overseas. $50. Installation at any bike shop.

Went to HKL to enquire on the price of Battlax 110F/120R tires. was quoted 220. hmm.

U sure stock rims can fit 110F and 120R ?

Notice that there are NO PULSARS IN MALAYSIA? How would the mechanic know how to tune? I'll bet that your bike is currently set too lean right now.

C'mon lah. The Pulsar is more or less a std naked bike. For basic jobs, any mech can do. Otherwise, we'll all have to go to Universal just to change engine oil.

U sure u wanna get the Pulsar? Lacks power, lacks speed, lots of vibrations, etc etc. So think carefully. Later if the bike doesn't meet ur expectations, u blame us for 'influencing' u.

 

If & when u've made up ur mind to get the Pulsar, I recommend u go down to Universal Motors (http://www.umpl.com.sg)

Got my Pulsar from Universal. No spare parts problems for me so far. Even if u buy ur Pulsar fr a dealer, they will still refer u to Universal for servicing/repairs they can't handle or spare parts they dun have.

 

Universal's Pulsar price is higher than most dealers, but not by much. But their sales & aftersales service is

 

Universal's pricing is transparent. The quotation given by David the sales guy will include everything; no hidden costs. Just dun forget to ask for freebies like helmet, rain suit (maybe rain shoes too) , bike cover, P-plates, box, crash bar, 5 free servicings (including engine oil) and watever else u think u can squeeze out of them.

If u're paying in installments, $1K - $1.5K should be enough for downpayment. Insurance depends on ur age, how long u've had ur licence, insurance type & insurance co. For hire purchase, min. insurance type is Third Party, Fire & Theft (TPFT) or more commonly known as 2nd Party. By default, Universal will get u Mitsui insurance, unless u ask for a different insurance co. So to know how much exactly u gotta pay for ur insurance, best is to make enquiries at the bike shop itself.

I guess for the time being, I'll just have to put up with the rattle made by the IU plastic cover. Anyway, the rattle is drowned by the engine sound once my bike is up to speed.

Malacca is halfway to KL liao. Dun forget Johor is the biggest state in Peninsular M'sia.

 

For 1st overseas trip, I suggest just a day-trip to Johor for makan nia. If the response is gd, then plan for longer trip. Let's take baby steps 1st

When I bought my bike, I immediately traded-in the stock tyres. I asked Universal for the widest Battlax BT039 that the Pulsar's stock rims can take. They gave me 90/80 front and 110/80 rear. I remembered asking for 120 rear, but they said size 120 is too wide for stock rear rims.

yup, me too ard 70 onward, sound from speedometer virbrate and sound like ball bearing sound.

 

Recently I also got that sound, yesterday when i open the head to fix my pole light, i found that at the four screws that is holding the speedo to the plastic casing, 2 of the plastic leg for the screw to hold the speedo to the casing is broken.

 

Maybe you might want to take out the speedo to check if anything behind is broken.

 

 

I took out the T10 bulb and wanted to fix my diyed T10, end up cannot, cause my T10 head too big to go through the housing. Anyone got any idea to take out the transparent part of the headlight?? Seems like it is glued to the housing.

 

Now my pole light is dangling below the headlight
