I am thinking maybe we meet up on a weekend to go get it together?

Bro, rather than arrange for a day when all 5 of u can go to the shop together to make payment, it's much easier for 1 of u to volunteer to collect the $ from the other 4 (usually thru funds transfer). Then that 1 person go to the shop to make a lump sum payment for 5 filters. Then the Sg shop will order the filters from overseas.

Likewise when the filters have arrived in Sg. The same person will collect from the Sg shop on behalf of the other 4.

Bros, beware of this car SDY3*33U the driver is crazy. Almost bang me out of the lane. Luckily manage to avoid him.

Not just the driver of the above car, but beware of ALL road users - drivers, bikers, cyclists, pedestrians .....

No need to waste $ lah. For extra padding, can just buy those square cushion from Giant, Carrefour, etc. Then secure it to ur seat using elastic hook

U sure u wanna get the Pulsar? Lacks power, lacks speed, lots of vibrations, etc etc. So think carefully. Later if the bike doesn't meet ur expectations, u blame us for 'influencing' u.

If & when u've made up ur mind to get the Pulsar, I recommend u go down to Universal Motors (http://www.umpl.com.sg)

If u're paying in installments, $1K - $1.5K should be enough for downpayment. Insurance depends on ur age, how long u've had ur licence, insurance type & insurance co. For hire purchase, min. insurance type is Third Party, Fire & Theft (TPFT) or more commonly known as 2nd Party. By default, Universal will get u Mitsui insurance, unless u ask for a different insurance co. So to know how much exactly u gotta pay for ur insurance, best is to make enquiries at the bike shop itself.

ok thks...i got no bike in my mind yet...other tem tis..lols..

im tinkin of savin 1k...enough?

btw, the probs u said can be fixed de rite?

ok thks...i got no bike in my mind yet...other tem tis..lols..

1st & foremost, dun rush into buying any bike. Decide on wat type of bike u want - naked, sports, cruiser, scrambler, scooter, kup? Then ask urself wat u look for in the bike - power, speed, looks, low FC, low maintenance? etc etc.

At the end of the day, watever bike u get, u win some u lose some cos every bike has its own pros & cons.

im tinkin of savin 1k...enough?

Should be lah. If the shop asks for $1.5K, just bargain lor. Nothing is cast in stone.

btw, the probs u said can be fixed de rite?

U mean, no speed, no power, vibrations? Those r the cons of the Pulsar. If u wanna have those probs fixed, then get another bike. The Pulsar's main pros are low FC & maintenance costs. If u find another naked bike that has the same weight, FC & maintenance costs as the Pulsar, but has power, speed and doesn't vibrate as much, let me know. I'll trade in my Pulsar immediately!

Why not make the T10 superflux youself? T10 leds are actually very simple stuff. you just take any t10 led, bend the legs straight and you can take out the led.

Basically T10 leds are made up of only 3 components.

The plastic housing (most difficult to find, maybe can buy cheapo T10 led to get the housing), the led, and a resistor.

So where do u put the IU when u need it? Can the ERP sensors still read the IU if it's put in box/bag?

Wat abt when entering/exiting carparks that use ERP technology? The IU would need to be placed at the front rite?

Then to enter/exit such carparks, I think (for Ver 2) we can just temporarily slot the IU under the windshield between the speedometer & tachometer housings rite?

I think externally powered IU can be brought around in your back or something.

Like that won't forget to take out cashcard liao. :goodluck:

Aesthetics.

Furthermore its to prove that the IU is unnecessary to be mounted on the handlebar anyway.

The smallest 12v battery that i can remember is a 1 1/2 fist sized YUASA dry cell at sim lim square basement. If you want even smaller... how about two 9v batteries and a step down? or perhaps one 9v and a step up is safer. hmm.

Thats one good example.

on another note... one AAA batt is 1.5v

12v / 1.5v = 8

8 AAA batteries connected in series will supply the 12v DC that the IU unit requires to run. Which is still smaller than a dry cell. Good luck trying to charge all 8 at the same time. I remember a time ago in NP Coop there was a massive battery charger that can charge 12 batteries at the same time.

On yet another note.

I wonder if its feasible to fabricate a rack to be mounted on the fork of the bike. touring bicycles have that, and you can mount a backpack on each side no problem. but bicycles dont go as fast as bikes. Anyone done the same for a motorbike? any motorbike?
