my bike is think the 1st or 2nd version... non LED meter... when travelling over 90km/h, the tachometer will go bonkers above 6000 rpm and doesn't work. When i reduce the speed, the tachometer starts to work again... any of you guys have this problem?

Yo! Been very bz lah. Fasting mth, followed by Hari Raya, now bz with work. No time to even logon to SBF :faint:

 

Btw I saw u on Fri nite on PIE heading towards BKE. I guess u were on ur way to JB to meet up with the others. I was in a cab when I saw this bike with underseat blue (or were they white?) LEDs. Realised it was a red Pulsar and from the biker's riding jacket and flip-up helmet, confirmed u lah.

 

Wah piang eh, u really wanna attract people's attention with ur underseat blue/white LEDs is it?! Then y switched them off just b4 BKE exit leh? Got uncle in front meh? :sweat:

its been a while since i posted.

 

Thats this about 20 dollar stebel horns?

 

20 each?

 

To be honest, i am more interested in aftermarket lights for the bike. stocks are pretty dim. good enough for singapore... but crappy when you are travelling on the NSH at night.

broke my tailboard when i kept using the tailboard as a hold when i want to engage mainstand. bleh. tried to fix it using epoxy resin. no good. -_-

 

will do some hunting for a portable battery operated drill and try to fix it again when i have time.

 

if anyone asks, it broke at the screw hole. nothing muxh the matter... just that i dont like the feeling that my bike is flawed somehow.

for guys who are getting the K&n filter, there will only be slight improvement in performance if we do not up jet. However we still get a nice roar and better fc.

 

pulsar 180 uses a 110 jet, recommend by our india counterparts is to change the jet to a 120 or 125. this will GREATLY improve our performance while still giving the same mileage :)

 

will source for a bigger jet for our bike. :) should be very cheap :)

 

1 more question... what is this "jet"???

broken tailboard fixed with cheap steel bracket commonly used for piping. kewl.

 

the bloody hissing from the pipe shall piss me off no longer. all four of the holes of the pipe has been sealed. no more hissing, yay!

 

Location of the holes... one just leading out of the engine. two at the first guard and the last is just before reaching the end can. its supposed to drain water out of the pipes... but i doubt that there will be any use for the drainage holes. unless someone stuffs a hose down my pipe and fills it up.

 

does anyone know where to purchase H3 bulbs? i look left right and center and all i see are H4 bulbs. really tough to find 35/35 rating bulbs. :(
