thanks guys for the input.. anyway, i have asked for them to recharge my batt.. and now its working as usual.. but i am keeping my fingers crossed hoping it wont die on me again.. if so, i might have to buy a new batt preferably the dry one..they charging 40 plus bucks for it.. or mebbe go check out whether its the rectifier problem or something..

 

just hoping for the best tho

WE R BACK!

the others will post the pictures on the trip...

alot of happenings hahahaha nearly din make it back together ....

 

We managed to travel to Malacca and back w/o pumping petrol, top up once at petronas second link and that's it...

Total mileage covered is ard 460-490 cos Suvespa and our speedo diff so the readings oso diff. anyway before we came back to spore we oso pumped an average of near 15L .

Anyway, We do learn a valuable lesson... Friendship, Teamworks, how to change tires and Most important.... IN ORDER TO TRAVEL LONG DISTANCE WE MUST CHANGE TO TUDLESS.. :cheeky:

Congratulations!!

 

Your must have had a fantastic trip coupled with a chance to gel as a group.

 

The blown tube must have been quite an experience:sweat:

Fact Proven: Bajaj Pulsar is more than capable of heading to Melacca, and back in one full tank, with 4 liters left over. Standard bike, with loaded boxes, travelling on average 90-100kmh. too bad about the last 80km though, since my tires caught a puncture. traveled about 80-90kmh on the last 80km.

 

450km / 15l = 30km/l. Not too bad.

 

Hitting Kuala Lumpur and back in one full tank may prove to be a challenge. It might be possible with fewer stops though.

 

My side of the photos arent really that nice. The photographer's eye exist not in me. :/

 

My next 3 projects:

1. Tubeless MRF Zappers when the 200dtsi comes along.

2. HID lights. only having standard HS1 25w/35w is rubbish.

3. Louder horns. I dont want to be left behind again. >_

 

I should really count my lucky stars that i didnt get run over when i caught my puncture. O.o

 

The boy scout spirit still exists in my blood after all these years, thankfully.

i was really interested in pulsar's ability to travel long distance, and is looking forward to hearing the results of the road trip..

 

first of all, wanna congratulate u all on the success of the trip!!!

can i ask, wad does it take for a bike to travel tat far? does it include many stops for engine cool down?

sure feels more sluggish. probably need to get used to the higher grip.

 

driftbaker: its knowing the limits of the bike, and travelling under it. that, and making bloody well sure that its ready for touring.

is it time for me to change my chain? i've been using the bike for abt 11 mths now,if i change the chain, must i change the sproket, front and back>?

pls advice...

its is good to whack it once in a while. you will feel that it runs smoother after whacking. But make sure your bike is in a good condition for whacking.

 

You won't want things to fail while u whack. e.g. chain brake, tyre punctured etc
