The sad part is.. its not "brand new" once ridden.. and the price will depreciate as per normal 2nd hand bikes.. that's the biggest con of getting a 1st hand bike..

It'll only be sold as 2nd hand, nth can be done..

Brand new non-ABS

$11,388 machine price

$6,600 COE

$150 IU unit

$1,270 7% GST

$19,408 Total Price

+add ons of accessories would be close to $20,000

$800 depreciation for less than a week of ride sounds expensive but this is what u get for first hand depreciation

Disclaimer: Price might not be as per what TS paid but rough gauge

Sadly that might be the case, once a new bike/car rolls off the dealer's floor you lose the GST instantaneously, then you start look at further depreciation.

I feel for you mate, it is not a good feeling realising you bought the wrong bike..

I've been there too ;-)

Thanks guys...

Now I only hoping to meet someone who can appreciate the price, otherwise it will be a waste if I push back bike shop.

Those unethical shop might treat it as first hand bike and sell it to fellow bikers

Nope. there's no way it can be sold as first hand anymore. Its all recorded black and white.

and.. $800 is not the standard depreciation. we're talking at least 25% drop. sad fact of market rates for bike

This bike has misled loads of bikers.. its actually less powerful then even a super 4.. considering its a class 2.. thats pretty bad..

I would say the best route would be to push it back to shop, you'll prolly get a better price there if its a good shop.. or just deal with it and ride 2-3 years.. since the depreciation for 2-3 years bike is also 25% onwards..

It's not as bad as people think. I've been commuting on it for 7 days straight now. A very decent bike. It deserves more good words than its getting. Definitely a motorcycle I would consider if downgrading.

Hi there, honestly, it is a huge waste of money for you. Doesn't matter if you are selling it to a private owner or to any bike shop... I honestly don't think that you would get any where near your selling price. I have been riding the 1st gen version for the past 3.5 years. You have got to appreciate what the bike is made for, it is made to be easily maintained and cheap to own. It's convenient and also plenty torque if you pillion often.

it is really not as bad as you think... Trust me... Slow I agree, but it's not a sports bike to start with, the riding position is a class leader to me... Try it for a couple of month first...

bro i think u ride it like u stole it n try da enjoy it...not worth to sell back at this moment...a new bike depreciates alot in the first 2 years...just my suggestion...

that's the stupid thing about the insurance law in sg, you can test ride a car but not a bike, how to know the feel of the bike without ever riding on it? In most countries, you can just go to the dealershio and take the bike for a test ride. i bought a 1000cc bike and after 15 mins of riding, i realized it's freaking hot, but there's no way of returning it, just gotta adapt and ride it happily.

Do not ever try to sell an almost new bike back to bike shop, i know a 4 month old bike with 1000km mileage sold back to bike shop at a loss of $4000. you only have 50km mileage on it, give it a chance, learn to ride it, size of the bike is quite easy to adapt to, are you at least 170cm? your best bet is to sell it after a year at about $2000 loss.

Also, i don't believe this bike is inferior to super 4, it's a low rev bike, the technique of throttle is slightly different from what i read in reviews, i have seen a few of these bikes in traffic and they have the pace of a 600cc supersport

it's not even marketed as speedy or anything. any well-informed person will know that it's meant for a commuter type of bike.

bigger class means it has to be more powerful? wtf

Am just wondering, Takeshi1 is this your first class2 bike? When u mention the bike is too big, is it when you are stationary and have difficulty reaching the ground?

can lower the bike height,in long run its a fun and economical bike to ride.

It's such a sad case that a biker is misled of a bike... comparing bike base on power....that's pretty worst than bad....

My ride,

RX 100, GTO 110, RXK 135, RD 125, RG 125, RG 250, TS 250, XR 250, DR 350, XT 600, DR 250, XR400, XR 250Baja, Hexagon 150, X9 250, AN125, Excel II 150, CRF250L, NC750X (current)

lol.. yea.. and all the nc owners coming in to defend their 50 hp bike..

not that 50hp is bad.. lololol... some people like.. some people dont..

If you think its enough for a class2.. then buy from TS lor..

it does have some amazing amount of storage.. add in some panniers.. top box.. fog lights.. can go touring lo! just need to move out earlier..
